“Connecting with the land” My girlfriend (Katherine) and I stayed here this past weekend to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn't have been happier. Mary and Russel are incredibly nice people, and so are their miniature horses and donkeys! The cabin is absolutely beautiful with a fascinating history. I'm pretty sure Katie's life was changed by this weekend, as she now wants to own a farm with donkeys. I've already recommended this place to many of my friends and will continue to do so. Awesome rates for what you get! We are definitely coming back next year, if not in the next few months. I would love to see what its like to stay there with a blanket of snow on the ground. “Perfect Family Vacation Spot!” We scoured this and other websites for two months looking for the perfect spot for our first vacation as a young family of four... and we found it at this lovely home! Around every corner was exciting new activities for both kids and adults. At the end of each day of our stay, my three-year-old and one-year-old each passed out with exhaustion after a day of playing at the beach, marveling at nearby waterfalls, exploring the lake via kayaks and canoes, and playing with the numerous toys and books throughout the house. And when they did pass out, we adults got to enjoy grilled steaks and a nice bottle of wine overlooking beautiful sunsets over the lake from the second floor deck. I think my three-year-old said it best: "I love the lake house daddy; can we come back again and again?" Indeed. Great owners as well -- thorough, clean, and responsive.

“Great Vacation Home” Just went for two days for the kids mid-winter vacation. The place was lovely. It was very clean and well organized. The beautiful wood and great fireplace created a warm charming atmosphere. Great size bedrooms. Mark was just wonderful to deal with. He was flexible and his instructions for the use of everyting was very clear. We had a large group and found it very comfortable. We would highly recommend it.

“Lovely place for family vacation!” This spacious log house was a perfect fit for our first family trip to Deep Creek. We had plenty of room for our group of 11 people (3 couples and 5 single adults). Everyone was pleased with the accommodations. It was clean, spacious and well equipped. John & Kathy Joyce were a pleasure to deal with. They were very helpful from beginning to end. We had such a good time that we hope to visit again next year.

“Beautiful, clean home in a perfect setting!” My husband, two year old daughter, dog and I just returned from a five night stay at Red Run Cabin. The home, although nothing fancy, was beautiful and well kept. We generally always stay in cabins or condos when we travel and this was by far the cleanest rental we've stayed in. It is located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood, with the lake right across the street with easy "beach" access. Our ten year old nephew who lives in the area and came to visit loved the game room with bumper pool and fooseball. We also made use of the plentiful board games available and watched several of the multitude of older movies to choose from when it was raining. Our family loved grilling out with us (charcoal and propane provided) and roasting smores over the firepit. My husband and I spent every night relaxing in the hot tub after our toddler and dog had settled in for the night. The home does not have air conditioning (which I believe is common for the area) but plenty of fans that allowed us to stay fairly comfortable in the Springtime mid 70's weather. The kitchen was equipped very well, although it may be time to invest in some new knives. John, the owner, was a very kind and patient and you can tell he takes great pride in his rentals. Whenever we come this way again, we will definitely return to Red Run Cabin.

“Outstanding Vacation Rental” Our extended family (22 people - 13A/9K) had a great week at Saddle Beach. The house was beautiful and in very good condition. The option of being in the pool or the river during the day was wonderful. The house was clean and well furnished. The dining room table and table on the porch provided plenty of seating for meals. There was plenty of hot water for showers and clean-up after meals. The pool was clean and the river was awesome, with a gradual slope that was perfect for kids and adults. We used the crab traps provided and caught 2 dozen crabs that made a great contribution to dinner on Friday. Crabbing was best by the dock. We caught all but 3 crabs there, rather than out closer to the middle of the river. The AC on the ground floor stopped working on Tuesday, but one call to the owner and the repair team was on-site in less than 2 hours. The issue was resolved before noon on Wednesday. We have been renting vacation properties for years and issues crop up from time to time. We appreciated the quick response and resolution. The one recommendation we will make is to bring bug spray (mosquitos and horse flies). We anticipated it being right on the river, but if you haven't had that experience, you need to be prepared.

“Would Rent Again” The house was clean and had everything we needed. Maggie and her husband were very flexible and accommodating. I was with a party of six and we had enough space to all sit around the dinning table. I would definitely rent again.

“Awesome getaway!” Hearts Delight and the hosts, Mac and Dar are just that...a delight! The cabin is clean and comfortable with all the amenities of home but in a very relaxed country setting. The grounds are just beautiful and well maintained with a fire pit, swimming and fishing ponds, walking trails through the woods and a shared hot tub. You could not ask for a nicer getaway that is not that far from many of Ohio's highlights.

“Home Away from Home Only Better” We love this house. It is so warm and cozy. As soon as you step in, you feel right at home. There is plenty of room and open space. The fireplace and living room are incredibly tranquil. There is plenty of sleeping space and bathroom space. The bathrooms are updated and nice and clean. I love the that you don't feel on top of one another. The decor is warm. The views are incredible. We can only imagine how it will be in the summer with the Lake. I can't wait to come back. “Perfect Getaway in the Poconos” We had a lovely time staying in your condo over the Christmas break. It was our first time skiing and snowboarding and we had a lot of fun tumbling down the mountain. It was great to come back to the condo to relax and nurse our aches and pains with a hot chocolate in front the fire. The condo was perfect - it felt like home - very comfortable and beautifully situated on the lake and with views of Big Boulder mountain from the balcony. Joanne was a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating. We are looking forward to coming back in summer! Highly recommended.

“Comfortable and huge.” My wife and I recently stayed here. While we only needed a place for the two of us, we were really impressed with the spaciousness and layout of this condo. We are thinking about returning with a larger family group. The living space is very comfortable and the bedrooms are also roomy. Location is close to downtown, Port Clinton, Cedar Point, or the ferries to the islands. The view out over the country club is beautiful. We would strongly recommend this rental to anyone interested in staying in Marblehead.

“A great escape!” We loved this place and a short drive to downtown Luray It was so welcoming and had everything we needed. Sharon is a great owner who goes over and beyond. We forgot our skillet and she mailed it to us immediately. I highly recommend this place and we will be back.
