You will feel right at home when you arrive at Captains Rest with views across the rooftops to the colourful cottages of the old fishing town of Brixham. An open plan kitchen and lounge area with modern appliances and contemporary features give way to a light and relaxing double bedroom and a spacious twin room. You’ll feel a million miles from the nearby town centre, leaving you free to enjoy a great sleep and wake refreshed and ready to explore everything that Brixham has to offer.
Located in the heart of Brixham's conservation area, Captains Rest is an ideal base for exploring the local area and immersing yourself in the local way of life. Step outside and you will find yourself in the hustle and bustle of the town centre, and just a short walk down the road will lead you to the waters edge at the harbour. Look out for the stunning replica of Sir Francis Drake’s famous galleon The Golden Hind, which welcomes visitors aboard all year round.
Home to one of Britain’s oldest working fishing ports, Brixham has long been famed for its links to the sea, and now has an up and coming culinary scene to add to its armoury, with an increasing number of independent cafés and delightful restaurants offering ingredients landed just a stones’ throw from their doorstep. “Immaculate and great location”
We bought the Torbay parking pass recommended and so could use loads of local car parks without the usual hassle. Well maintained flat and brill location. As it is near the harbour you will hear the seagulls early in the morning, so if you are a light sleeper, take earplugs. The host was helpful and quick to respond and the kitchen was perfectly equipped and the building is very secure. Recommend.

“Like a Home from Home.”
Captain's Rest is like a home from home! Really clean, nicely decorated and well appointed. The apartment is located within 2 mins walking distance from the beautiful Brixham harbour with all its shops and restaurants and also situated very close to the car park which is really handy. If you like to stay in and cook your own meals the kitchen has everything you will need appliances and utensils wise. The beds are very comfortable and the shower powerful and hot. We really enjoyed our stay at Captain's rest and wouldn't hesitate to stay again should we visit the area again. Thank you!
