Description
Fisherman's Retreat has spectacular views across the marina, breakwater and out to sea, providing an ever changing scene and is a great view to wake up to!
Built in the 1890's during the Victorian period, the cottage covers 3 floors and has been modernised over the years but retains its character. A well equipped cottage with Sky TV, internet & courtyard garden.
Within a 10 minute walk you will find yourself in Brixham Harbour which is a traditional working fishing port, with a good selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Beaches, play area and an outdoor sea water swimming pool are also within walking distance of the cottage.
From Brixham there are numerous attractions & day trips available from sea fishing, boat trips to Dartmouth & up the River Dart, passing on route Agatha Christie's holiday home or take the ferry to Torquay and not forgetting the replica Golden Hind & Pirates!
For walkers & lovers of beautiful scenery there is the South Devon Coastal path and the Berry Head Nature Reserve with a Napoleonic fort and at Battery Gardens (nr Furzeham Green) there is a WW2 museum.
Brixham offers beautiful views which will recharge your batteries!

Stairs to the attic bedroom have the original half spiral staircase which are steeper than a normal staircase.

“Amazing”
We have had the best time ever! Sooo much to do in Brixham … Fishcome cove, rock pools by shoalstone pool, Broadsands, railway, Dartmouth, Totness but the best was finding the hidden gem of Fast Rabbit Gardens (one mans mission to create a garden in a Devon Valley) . The house is like a home from home! So much bigger than in the photos. Sylvia who we got the key from was so lovely and helpful. The views amazing and the house had everything we needed oh and don’t forget the park round the corner!

“Absolutely fabulous”
Sadly we had bad weather (you could always watch the Peter Kay CD,,,, hilarious if you have the same) Excellent all round amenities, great view, Horrific Hills, especially with shopping, lovely green out in front,,, this is where you get all the local gen from. As I said,, absolutely Fabulous!!!
