Description

Southdown Barns is a fabulous holiday rental set in pristine National Trust coastal hills with breathtaking views over the countryside and down to the sea. A short walk brings you to a beautiful, secluded sandy beach where you'll rarely find other people.we are happy to accept the furry members of your family who will enjoy the large garden and the nearby dog friendly beach

The property can accommodate up to 12 and has large and modern open plan living areas. There is plenty of outside space for children to play or for a summer barbeque. The view from the property itself is spectacular, with vistas out to the ocean and over open countryside. Full Sky HD TV in house

New for 2014 :- Indoor Games room with full size professional pool table, table tennis.Well behaved dog are allowed.

The picturesque town of Brixham is just 1 mile away. Brixham has a quaint old harbour which still operates as a working fishing port, where you can buy fresh seafood straight off the boat. Dartmouth is 5 miles the other way, ferries run all year round for cars and foot passengers. Further afield are the delights of the Devon seaside and countryside, including Dartmoor National Park.

Please note from Easter until the end of October, weekly rentals must start on a Friday, minimum rental is 3 nights which can start on a Friday or Monday. In the off season, start dates can be flexible outside the school holidays.

Perfect house for a large gathering. Views over the channel were mesmerizing. Kitchen large and spacious. Plenty of glasses and dishes. The only down side was the bathroom situation. Claw foot bathtubs in two, no real shower set up in either that worked.

“What a great find!!”

WOW!! What a wonderful location and place. The views are to die for. Rumours have it royalty has stayed here and that would not surprise me!! We, 10 of us and 2 dogs, stayed here for a weekend (6 - 9th October) and could have easily have stayed longer. The house is beautifully presented and any issues or problems are sorted very quickly. We had a toilet that would not flush; one phone call and Malcolm was there and it was fixed within 30 mins of reporting it. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The open plan works well to the dinning area. The lounge too is spacious and ideal for groups. The TV has Sky which was a bonus. However, if I was being picky, I would say it would easily take a much bigger screen. Bedrooms are great and open onto the gardens....brilliant. Parking; Plenty of parking. I took my motorbike and even had a small covered area for it....ideal. The achilles heal of the place are the showers. They work well (hot and good pressure) but are the type that are above the bath, not separate cubicles. They have circular curtains which really are not good. Would I recommend the place.....definitely Would I go there again.....I hope so, maybe in the summer.
