“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “Good Times at Kenslynn Cottages” For the past 10 years, we have stayed at Kenslynn Cottages in Bancroft. The folks who rent the cottages are wonderful people and try very hard to accommodate your every need. The most important feature of the cottage is Trout Farrady Lake. Very clean fresh lake water. When the sun shines or if it's cloudy, you'll appreciate mother nature at its best. The cottages are well appointed, and the kids will be kept busy indoors or outside. I've enjoyed every summer, and consider this a great destination to enjoy a specatular part of northern Ontario. The key thing to remember is you're at a cottage, not the Hilton. Eric, Glynnis, Lynne and Murray are wonderful hosts and take care of your every need. So come up and visit Bancroft, because it's a jewel that lifts our spirits every summer. The kids will appreciate it and remember the experience for years to come.
