Hubbards/Halifax Oceanfront Home in Nova Scotia

Hubbards house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Beautiful Views, Comortable and Relaxing Home” As you drive into the beautifully graveled driveway and see the ocean at the side of the house you just know that this will be a relaxing vacation. When you enter the house you are invited in by a well equipped kitchen that leads into a beautiful family/living room. Downstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed and a three piece bathroom. Upstairs the master bedroom is the full width of the house with a picture window looking out into St. Margaret's Bay. Upstairs at the back of the house is a lovely bedroom with two double beds. As our friends had traveled from the UK we gave the upstairs bedrooms to them and took the down stairs ourselves. Back down on the ground floor the living room leads out onto a large deck which is fantastic for bbq's and just relaxing. This in turn leads to a large grassy area which in turn leads to a small private beach. The area around the house has many services and features and I can sincerely recommend it to anybody that wants a relaxing vacation within easy traveling distance of Halifax and the South Shore. All in all an excellent location and great value for money.

“Ideal location for a seashore holiday” My family and I spent a week at this property and thoroughly enjoyed the week. The house is spacious and well equipped with all the comforts of home and everything you need to prepare and serve meals. The seashore is, literally, in the back yard and a sandy beach, with rolling surf, is just 6K away. For fishing enthusiasts, there is an opportunity to fish off a wharf less than 1K from the property. The location is very rural, peaceful and quiet but Bridgewater, a popular shopping destination, is only about twenty minutes away. I would definitely recommend this rental property for anyone interested in a holiday by the seashore.

“An amazing getaway” The drive to this cottage is beautiful to say the least. A tranquil drive on the road with a different feel and a change of vegetation. Right in front of the house is a vast expanse of water. During low tide, the water goes out to expose 200 ft out to the sea. Once you get to the cottage it's gets even better. The outside looks flawless. Almost like a house out of a lovely short story. Inside is what tops everything. Everything looks new and it has a modern feel. The ceiling is amazingly high, giving an open feel. There are a lot of windows and are strategically places so you can see the sunrise and sunset overlooking the sea. The place had everything in it, including napkins, towels, all kitchenette, and the owner (who lives next door) also gave us an HDMI cable upon asking, which allowed for some good movie time. All in all, this was the most beautiful and homey cottage I have ever been to. It was certainly an experience and will be coming back for sure.

Tides and Time Vacation House

Annapolis Royal house

“relaxing, scenic home away from home” We loved the house and Sheila made us feel totally at home. the location was right in the heart of the town yet peaceful and quiet. we had all we needed and really enjoyed the satellite radio and TV when we were not out enjoying the town and bay view. There is plenty of room to relax and the layout of house is awesome. loved the awning, it gave us plenty of shade to sip cool drinks while using the BBQ. there was nothing we really needed that wasn't provided except maybe air conditioning if it got hot. the weather was great while we were there in July. To be right in town and still feel like you are in a private location is rare thing. to top it off the rates are excellent and we recommend Tides and Time to anyone looking for a great place to stay that is suited for couples and family. Loved it.

“An absolutely wonderful experience with picture perfect views” "Wow". From the moment we entered this beautiful home, to every time we caught a glimpse of the stunning ocean views (which wasn't hard to do, as basically every window in the house and the many balconies provided breath-taking views of the LaHave Islands and surrounding areas), this is the word that we continually came back to - "wow". The house itself is beautiful. It's extremely spacious, but feels cozy at the same time. The windows provide incredible views and lots of natural light all day long. There are several beautiful balconies overlooking the islands and surrounding ocean. The kitchen was well equipped with any utensil or appliance you'd require, and a washer and dryer are available as well. For the first few hours after we arrived, we just sat in the atrium in the comfy armchairs, listening to music and taking in our amazing surroundings. It was delightful and relaxing, and I would've been content to do just that all weekend. Having lived in Nova Scotia for my entire life, I was somewhat familiar with the area of Petite Rivière/LaHave from childhood visits to Risser's Beach and Crescent Beach (both within 10 minutes of Skyview). I had never made the trip over to the LaHave Islands, but am so glad I was able to now. It's such a beautiful and quiet area. We also made trips to the LaHave Bakery (a must on your to-do list) and several markets, art and craft shops along the way, just a short drive from Skyview. The Owner of this beautiful spot was wonderful, and more than helpful, ensuring everything was in order so that we could enjoy our stay. His response time to e-mails was very quick, and he also called shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was ok and to answer any questions. He had taken the time to provide instructions regarding anything you may need to know about the house, as well as information on many of the local attractions. We were thoroughly impressed with all aspects of our interactions with the Owner! This was an absolutely enjoyable experience and we're already really looking forward to our next stay. I would highly recommend a stay at Skyview!!

Tranquil Cove Near Lunenburg
A home away from home

We loved our week stay. The location is perfect for doing day trips. We visited Lunenburg, Mahome Bay, Lockeport, Chester and Wolfville to name a few and then came home to spend a nice quiet evening. We felt very much at home in this very attractive, clean place that had everything we needed - not to mention the beautiful surroundings, including deer grazing in the backyard. Highly recommended and would love to go back another year.see more
Newly renovated house in the heart of Dartmouth
Perfect House for our large group with an accommodating owner

We had a large group in Dartmouth for our son's wedding. The location was perfect, close to MicMac Mall, Dartmouth Crossing, grocery store, gas station and bridges to Halifax. Jeff was awesome. We had our 9 month old granddaughter with us and Jeff provided us with a pac n play, high chair and stroller. The house was perfect with the large back deck to host our son's Rehearsal get together for 30 + people. Jeff even purchased a new BBQ to accommodate us. Thanks so much Jeff for everything.see more

Views to die for

Tiny Heaven house with secluded sandy beach and waterfall near Inverness
Absolutely beautiful

Wow!!! The views were absolutely amazing. The private beach was beautiful as well. The walk to and from the beach was more like a hike. So wear appropriate foot wear. The tiny house was really cool! Very comfy and very adequate. I thought there was a fire pit outside but I guess I was mistaken. It was very breezy so I guess safety would be an issue with a camp fire. Also, the hot water heater was down at the time of our stay but they have the outdoor shower. Not too cool if the weather is bad though. But it worked. He needs to put a regulator on the outside water heater. Kept shutting off and had to keep starting it. Again, no big deal. The area was amazing. The restaurants and the coffee shop were top notch.see more
423 'By the Sea' Ocean Front Apartment
Location and Comfort

Right on the ocean, the view was spectacular. The apartment had everything plus some, that we could ever need. It was great for day trips but unfortunately we were only there for 2 nights. The owners, Paul and Darlene were wonderful hosts and had lots of suggestion of places to explore. Our dog loved being able to run around. Thank you to them, so nice.see more
