“A Forest Bungalow!” My family and I had a great time at Ptarmigan, Big Mountain-Whitefish, MT. We did it all! Went to Glacier National Park, enjoyed Big Mountain, toured the town and relaxed in the hottub! Our favorite part was making meals in a house in the woods. It was so magical being surrounded by cedar trees on a mountainside. Thanks for the memorable stay!

“Super Friendly” Great folks running this place. They really give the home town experience with amenities of a major hotel. This property is right next to a beautiful lake. The options are great for either the relaxed weekend or if you want to water skiing or out on a boat to fish it is all there. Really pleased with vacation this has turned into and relaxation is the key!

“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “Perfect Getaway!” We were exhausted, every day stresses had truly got the better of us and we just needed a long weekend to find our equilibrium again and recharge. So pretty much on the spur of the moment we booked this place. Right from the minute we arrived, we were enchanted. Stylish yet supremely comfortable, the owner had clearly thought of everything! This made us feel completely at home while at the same time adding that certain cossetting and pampering factor. The condo is stunning and in a perfect location, the beautiful and relaxed environment sends you back to 'real' life relaxed and recharged. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will certainly be returning and next time with our adult children.

“Like staying with the rich aunt I never had!” We stayed in a clean and very comfortable three bedroom condo with all the amenities we could need. The beds in every room at sleep number! When traveling it is so wonderful to have a choice of cooking our own meals or walking down to the pool and enjoying drinks and a good meal with no work. The fully stocked kitchen had a fancy blender for impeccable daiquiris (or morning protein shakes), coffee maker, crock pot, etc. We all lounged on the enormous shaded deck in the afternoon, ate dinner on the patio, and the family room with a pull out sofa is spacious enough that everyone in the family can hang out and watch movies or play games. They had coolers and chairs for the beach, even snorkel equipment! There was a Pack n Play for my little nephew and kids books and games for my nieces. WiFi and satellite TV make it feel like home. The staff at the pool treat you like family and make sure your glass is always filled with a painkiller while sunning by the pool. We were located close to the famous beaches, the downtown restaurants and the ferry dock. We were torn between staying at a hotel or renting a house, but this is the best of both worlds!
