“Our Favourite Spot in Stratford” We have stayed in a number of places in Stratford over the years but this is our favourite. We discovered it several years ago and have now stayed three times. Kevin, Rachelle, their daughter Olivia and Bailey, the dog, make you feel welcome right away. Their home is lovely and the garden is beautiful. We have enjoyed sitting out reading and having a glass of wine. The loft bedroom suits us perfectly. It is private, well-appointed, comfortable and cozy. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of fresh fruit, which we really enjoyed. We were able to walk to all the theatres and restaurants, so parking the car was never an issue. We love Hathaway's Cottage B and B!

“Family getaway” We thoroughly enjoyed our summer stay at Lloyd's mountain retreat. Its located in the mountains. There are beautiful views ! There were great swimming environments (built into the side of the mountain) with an awesome water slide in one the pool areas. We would definitly consider returning.

“An absolutely wonderful experience with picture perfect views” "Wow". From the moment we entered this beautiful home, to every time we caught a glimpse of the stunning ocean views (which wasn't hard to do, as basically every window in the house and the many balconies provided breath-taking views of the LaHave Islands and surrounding areas), this is the word that we continually came back to - "wow". The house itself is beautiful. It's extremely spacious, but feels cozy at the same time. The windows provide incredible views and lots of natural light all day long. There are several beautiful balconies overlooking the islands and surrounding ocean. The kitchen was well equipped with any utensil or appliance you'd require, and a washer and dryer are available as well. For the first few hours after we arrived, we just sat in the atrium in the comfy armchairs, listening to music and taking in our amazing surroundings. It was delightful and relaxing, and I would've been content to do just that all weekend. Having lived in Nova Scotia for my entire life, I was somewhat familiar with the area of Petite Rivière/LaHave from childhood visits to Risser's Beach and Crescent Beach (both within 10 minutes of Skyview). I had never made the trip over to the LaHave Islands, but am so glad I was able to now. It's such a beautiful and quiet area. We also made trips to the LaHave Bakery (a must on your to-do list) and several markets, art and craft shops along the way, just a short drive from Skyview. The Owner of this beautiful spot was wonderful, and more than helpful, ensuring everything was in order so that we could enjoy our stay. His response time to e-mails was very quick, and he also called shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was ok and to answer any questions. He had taken the time to provide instructions regarding anything you may need to know about the house, as well as information on many of the local attractions. We were thoroughly impressed with all aspects of our interactions with the Owner! This was an absolutely enjoyable experience and we're already really looking forward to our next stay. I would highly recommend a stay at Skyview!!

“Peaceful Paradise” We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very cozy and extremely peaceful. We wished we could have stayed longer than the 2 nights we booked and we will definately book this condo again when we stay in Sun Peaks the next time.

“We'll be back!” If you're looking for someplace with attentiveness to all the details and more, Ele's Escape is it! Pet-friendly was my first clue it would be wonderful. But I had no idea the food would be so spectacular, the guest room filled with unexpected fun and comfort ( think amazing chocolate, homemade cookies, soft robes and lots more...). The bed was soo soft and cozy, the ocean within view and a 1 minute walk and the hosts incredible. Informative, welcoming and fun, they are some of the best we've experienced. “Comfortable, Convenient, Delicious!” We had a wonderful time at Williams Gate Bed and Breakfast! Anca is a fantastic host and her space is very comfortable,tastefully decorated, and conveniently located. We had a nice walk down to Queen Street and the Shaw Festival. The breakfasts were very delicious and she was very accommodating of my wife's dietary restrictions. Thank you, Anca!

“Great place” My husband and I stayed at Marians with our dog Sassy. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the location. Sassy and their dog Sophie played and enjoyed each other immensely. The relaxing location with the water so close by allowed us to rest and read. The owners, Mary and Ian, are friendly and helpful hosts who have many suggestions for places to see and restaurants to sample. We will go back!

“Relaxing Summer Vacation” We had such a relaxing summer vacation here last year. The cabin stays cool even in the summer heat. The deck and dock were perfect for relaxing in the sun or shade. The water is beautiful, but also very deep. We had brought lifejackets for our kids anyway, they really enjoyed jumping and swimming off the dock. We found we enjoyed the dock so much, we never did drive down to the beach. As a bonus, the kids really had fun climbing up in the little treehouse too. Cranbrook is just a short drive away for any shopping/supplies you need. We really enjoyed getting away from it all at this great cabin!

“Quiet” We fundamentally enjoyed our week's stay at this cabin. We had a really great time, despite the absence of a dishwasher ;-) ! In the end, we did not even have time enough to fully explore the island ... Unfortunately, the road to Anderson Bay was too rough to make it there, even with our all-wheel-drive rental car: we tried but gave up halfway, being afraid we would strand in the middle of nowhere, many km from civilisation (= Bob's Lake) and without cell-phone reception. We did not encounter a single other car on that trip, all day long! We also liked the Heischolt lakes and Shingles beach. The Raven restaurant had nice food and the general store offered very nice bread! We had excellent wildlife sightings from the cabin, including a snake on the steps to the beach and a pod of transient orcas passing through Gillies Bay on the first evening! We also had nice bald-eagle views, including an adult picking up a dead dog shark from the beach (which we inspected the day before at close range) and bringing it to its chick in the nest a few 100 m along the beach (down the road to Shelter park). We will be back in the future!

“Beautiful, well appointed chalet in good location” The pictures on the web site do not do the chalet justice. We had two families in the chalet for 8 days, and found it to be very comfortable. It is spread over 4 levels so there is never any feeling of being crowded - lots of space for everyone, except in the kitchen. These are the pros and cons: The Pros: - great location - 4 comfortable bedrooms and 2 comfortable sofa beds - ski-in and walk to ski-out - well appointed with plates, glasses and wine glasses, utensils and cooking pans and pots - pool table is good and popular - nice fireplace - two balconies - gas BBQ off main floor deck - heated floors are great - the garage off the main floor and extra parking are super convenient - the complex was very quiet - almost no noise at all The Cons: - the ski-in and ski-out is not for beginners - there is a hot tub on the deck but it is not functional (we knew this in advance) - there is a communal hot tub but it is down the road and not convenient, so we never used it - the shower heads in the 3 showers are pretty bad - desperately need to be upgraded - the kitchen, while well appointed, is only big enough for one person to be in it at a time all in all, would go back again!

“Spring Skiing in January” We had wonderful four days of skiing up at Big White this past January and enjoyed coming back to our luxury Treetops Condo. The condo was spacious, beautifully decorated and had an amazing kitchen. We enjoyed the heated floors in the bathrooms and appreciated the in-house washer dryer facilities with storage everywhere you turned. The kids loved the loft off the kitchen. It was a great stay and weekend.

“Beautiful!” This apartment was beautiful! It has such character, beautiful woodwork and is very spacious. I had such a great weekend here and highly recommend this place. Or maybe I shouldn't so that next time I want to stay here it will still be available . . . :) In all seriousness, it really is a great apartment, really close to everything you might need: transit (bus routes and metro station), a depanneur right next door, a delicious boulangerie around the corner, walking distance to Schwartz's. The apartment itself was great, with a full kitchen, beautiful bathroom, living room to relax in, and all the amenities you might need. Definitely check this place out!!
