A short walk to Cape May's Beaches, Pedestrian Mall and Acclaimed Restaurants, and a great location for the Cape May Christmas Parade! This lovely and well maintained 4 Bedroom Dutch Colonial Home is located in a quiet, tree-lined Historic District neighborhood. A large, fenced yard, an enclosed front porch and an open back deck with retractable awning make this the ideal place for families to enjoy their stay in Cape May. Built in the 1920's, the house contains all of the expected charms of the era, including high ceilings, refinished hardwood floors, and wide wood moldings. Decorated with nautical art and Mission Style furnishings on the first floor, wicker porch furniture and patio furniture on the deck, the house invites a feeling of relaxation between beach activities.
Amenities include: high speed internet with wireless router, HDTV’s with expanded cable channels in the Living Room, Family Room and the two Primary Bedrooms, a large private outdoor shower, off street parking for 4 cars, retractable awning over back deck to provide either sun or shade, and a full size Weber Gas Grill for Bar-B-Q. Besides the enclosed porch (a favorite place to read the morning paper) and the outdoor deck, the first floor includes a large living room with decorative fireplace, a dining room to comfortably seat 8, a family/TV room and a kitchen with all necessary appliances and utensils. The two Primary Bedrooms each contain a Queen Bed; 1 bedroom contains a Full-Size Bed, and the 4th bedroom contains a set of Twin-Size Bunk Beds for the kids and young adults. There is also a Queen Size fold-out couch in the family room that sleeps 2. The House has 2 bathrooms (1 with a shower and 1 with a shower/tub). Central AC just added (2022) split system.
Centrally and conveniently located in a quiet, residential neighborhood of Victorian and Beach Bungalow style homes, situated only 3 blocks (south) to Cape May’s most desirable guarded beaches; 5 blocks (west) to the "Cove" (a mile-long stretch of preserved State Park beach), 2 blocks (north) to West Cape May's Wilbraham Park, and 5 blocks (east) to Cape May’s pedestrian Washington Street Mall and Restaurant District. Several of Cape May’s most popular restaurants (including some child-friendly restaurants) are located within 3 blocks. A bicycle rental shop is within a 4-block walk. Leave your cars in the driveway and walk or bicycle everywhere! Cleaning fee for all rentals.
During the Summer and “Shoulder Seasons”, there is a one week minimum. Rentals before and after the summer and shoulder seasons have a 3-night minimum with a cleaning fee.
