From the moment you set foot on the Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors or lay your head on the Egyptian bedding you'll feel pampered from head to toe.
Start the day sipping on coffee as you take in the magnificent ocean views from the top floor balcony. Then, via our private boardwalk enjoy a near private beach experience. Or, enjoy a dip in our renovated, gated swimming pool. Don't forget your tennis rackets, enjoy a game or two at our tennis courts!
You get the best of both worlds. Ocean views from the living room balcony and master bedroom or from the front porch or Intracoastal Waterway and marina.
Wall mounted ROKU FLAT SCREEN TV's in living room and each bedroom. SURROUND SOUND, even on the balcony! Ceiling fans, even on the balcony. For cooler seasons or evenings, cuddle up with a blanket and a book in front of the fireplace. Or, cook in the gourmet kitchen equipped with granite counter tops. Plus, a wet bar with a wine cooler!

Fish off the North End Pier or never leave the gated community and walk a few feet to fish in the Intracoastal Waterway from our dock at the marina. Fishing rods included!

Are pets allowed at Tranquility?
No. Pets are NOT permitted in any of our properties due to severe allergic reactions. Any guest found with a pet in a property will be required to vacate the premises without refund. This is strictly enforced.
What is Tranquility's check-in/check-out policy?
On your scheduled day of arrival, you may check-in anytime after 4:00 pm EST. On your scheduled date of departure, check-out time is 10:00 am EST. Early check-ins and late check-outs can't be confirmed until the day before arrival or departure. The fee is an extra $25 per hour, up to 4 hours. ALL EARLY CHECK-INS & LATE CHECK-OUTS MUST BE CONFIRMED VIA EMAIL.
What is provided for each rental in regards to linens, bath towels, and toiletries?
Each bed within the property will be complete with sheets, pillow cases, and a blanket and/or comforter upon arrival. Each full bathroom is outfitted with at least 1 large bath towel per person, 1 wash cloth per person, and a bath mat. We provide beach towels for the beach and/or pool. The linens will only be serviced by Tranquility and Carolina Beach staff upon departure. Each bathroom will have an initial supply of hand soap and toilet tissue. Each kitchen will have an initial stock of paper towels and trash bags.
What housekeeping service does Tranquility offer?
Each rental home will be cleaned prior to guest check-in and then upon guest check-out and departure. This is scheduled at the time of your reservation and is required. Additional housekeeping services such as mid-stay cleans and towel and linen service are available upon request for an additional charge.
Should you leave something behind, please let us know. We are happy to send your items back to you, however we will charge you for the shipping and time.
Other amenities: Flat screen TV's in bedrooms and living room, surround sound (including balcony), built in wet bar, wine cooler, ceiling fans, recessed lights, crown molding in every room, breakfast bar, granite counter-tops, pendant lights, two parking spaces, beach wagon, beach umbrella, beach chairs, boogie board, sand toys, beach towels, linens and towels, fishing rods, hair-dryer, iron, ironing board, free wifi.
In addition to the beach, spend time shopping at 'The Boardwalk' where you can also play games and enjoy thrilling amusement parks rides during the summer months. While there, enjoy handmade donuts, fudge and ice cream and breathtaking fireworks! Also on Pleasure Island visit Fort Fisher or take a short ferry ride to Historic Southport. Historic Wilmington is about 15 minutes northwest.

“Disappointing at best”

Response from the owner I am so sorry to hear this. We actually do have ocean and intercoastal views. Our private, gated beach community is lined by multi-million dollar homes and the only thing between and the beach is the marsh. Our guests enjoy our private boardwalk to the beach since it's only for our use. It crosses the marsh which is often a delight to watch the birds and other ocean wildlife. It is also lit so it's not dark at night. I hope you were able to make use of the beach cart we provide filled with beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. All the best to you.
