Description

The Hideaway is situated and the end of a private drive off the lane leading to Charmouth's famous Fossil Beach.Set in it's own walled garden it offers private parking for 2 cars. Both the beach and the Charming Village Street are within a couple of minutes level walk so no need to use the car and worry about parking.

The property is a contemporary New England style single storey cottage which we have furnished with quality items with a nautical theme. The Open plan vaulted and beamed living area with its large windows gives a very airy feel and opens out onto the privated lawned Garden.

Charmouth is a charming unspoilt village just outside the larger but delightful resort of Lyme Regis.

The Village offers everything for your day to to day needs including a grocers,butchers,artisan baker,post office and chemists. There are two pubs, cafes and fine dining restaurants all within a 5 minute walk.

The Heritage Coast Centre is on the beach at the end of the lane and offers a full programme of activities.

There is parking for 2 cars and a sunny south facing walled garden with sea glimpes. It is a real sun-trap and is a delightful place to sit and enjoy a drink in the sun most of the year. Garden furniture is provided.
NEW in 2013 a raised sun deck offering lovely country and sea views.

“Lovely in the Hideaway”

We had a lovely comfortable stay at the Hideaway. Close to the beach and shops. Great communication with owner. We will happily stay again.

“Peaceful Retreat”

This beach house was just beautiful, one of the best we have stayed in. The open plan kitchen lounge was ideal in the evenings when we were cooking our evening meal. It was 2 minutes from the seafront and we did power walk up the cliffs to see the view at the Golden Cap which was well worth it. Its only a 3 mile walk to Lyme Regis with all its little shops and cafes. The cottage was well placed for visiting gardens and National Trust sites nearby. There are a lot of local farm shops to try the local food and Bridport has some great food options. We will definetly keep this place in mind for our future UK holidays.

“The Hideaway Charmouth”

This is a very cosy warm quiet little cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Charmouth and Lyme Regis are delightful.There are other delightfulays near by to explore. Highly recommend.

“Comfortable, quiet and well-equipped”

We stayed just 3 days, this time. The cottage is very comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen has limited storage space but plenty enough for a short stay. Excellent central heating for our wet and very windy stay. Plenty of private parking in a quiet location. No sea views but that did not matter to us. Best we have found in Charmouth so far.

“The Hideaway”

Very nice place. Perfect for us. Minutes away from the beach and the local shop. Charmouth is ideal for the quiet getaway but easy access for Weymouth, Lyme Regis and other places in the area. Lucky with the weather. Fossilising every day. It was just what we needed.
