Description

The Barn is the most characteristic of our self-catering apartments. Occupying the west end of the Farmhouse this delightful accommodation has been converted from the old barn. On the ground floor there is King-size bedroom, luxury bathroom with shower and bath and an open plan vaulted living/ kitchen area. The Barn features a well-equipped modern kitchen, wall mounted TV, Free Sat, Large Sofa with integrated King-size sofa bed, woodburning stove and The Diana Dors* stained Glass Window. A galleried mezzanine floor contains a Double bed. A set of glazed patio doors lead out to a small garden with decking area for outside eating.

* Diana Dors was an English actress Born October 23, 1931, Swindon Died: May 4, 1984, Windsor. The art deco stained Glass window featured in the Barn was commissioned for Diana Dors's bathroom when she lived in Surrey

Getting around

We are fairly rural so a car is a must. There is a local train station at Barnham which is about 4 miles away, with trains running frequently to Portsmouth, London Victoria, and Brighton.

Interaction with guest

I live on site so will usually be around to meet you and show you around. This does mean that if there are any problems I am generally on hand to sort.

House rules

Please note the additional guest fee is actually the sofa bed supplement sleeping up to an additional 2 guests, max guests for this property 6. This is charged at £30 per night that it is used for and not, as stated, £30 per extra person per night. I will therefore ammend any booking quotes to the correct value.
Twin bed supplement of £20 per room if required.
Please enquire first regarding pets, as do normally allow well behaved dogs. There is an additional supplement of £20 for this option.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
