Baita Sorriso è situata nel piccolo ma molto turistico villaggio di Brunate. E' un'antica casa di pietra con giardino, immersa nel verde dei boschi sulla collina che sovrasta Como. I suoi 600 mt di altezza le garantiscono una spettacolare vista panoramica sul lago di Como (e su buona parte dell'arco alpino) ed un clima sempre piacevole. Baita Sorriso mette a disposizione dei clienti un appartamento indipendente di 120mq, in grado di ospitare fino a 8 persone; composto da 3 stanze matrimoniali, 2 bagni (con doccia), una cucina completa ed un salotto con grande una smart tv. Gli ospiti possono inoltre usufruire di una Finnnish sauna e di una jacuzzi (con 6 posti) ad uso esclusivo funzionanti tutto l'anno. Tra i vari servizi utilizzabili segnaliamo: il wifi free, una grande smart tv, un parcheggio interno, una lava-asciugatrice a disposizione degli ospiti. In giardino è disponibile una bellissima area pranzo e relax da cui si gode di una spettacolare vista sul lago di Como e sull'arco alpino. “Thoroughly recommend the house in the woods (just be aware of the roads)”
The first thing to highlight is the amazing views over Como which repeatedly absorbs the attention. The seated decking area has just this fantastic backdrop. The house is chic with designer bathrooms, the rooms are tastefully furnished with high-quality wall prints. To manage your expectations the caution would be that once you have arrived by car you leave it parked in the garden drive until it's time to leave. Instead, use the local funicular railway. For downward journeys, there is a halfway stop which means you walk down to it (it does mean skirting around the ticket barrier and purchasing a ticket at the bottom). You are then near to the heart of Como and its a shortish walk to the Ferry terminal. On return, you go to the top station and then walk down to the house. There is really only one way to drive to the house and that is from Como on the Via per Brunate and the Via per Como. Even then turning around the sharp 180 degree bends can be challenging to the non-local, and the roads can narrow (so the bigger your car the more challenging it becomes) (I am glad we did not fall for the Avis rouse of boot space vs luggage upgrade ploy). The final roads to the house can be a bit confusing. It transpires that Sonia the owner will often arrange to meet guests in Brunate so they can follow her to the house. If you see a feasible route from Cassano on the SP37 DON’T TAKE IT. At some points the road narrows (between thick walls) to such an extent that you have to take your wing mirrors in (the bigger the car the narrower the width). Would thoroughly recommend the house in the woods (just be aware of the roads).
