BRIDGE COTTAGE by CROYDE HOLIDAYS - Situated in the heart of Croyde prime walking distance to the beach this spacious detached three bed cottage has a contemporary design twist whilst retaining its heritage character. It's the kind of home from home that's makes heading back from the beach as much fun as the rest of the day, there's even the optional private bubbling hot tub* making this cottage a little more special. If you're keen to make the most of the setting and dine al fresco during your holiday, you'll find a patio set making it easy to tuck into those family feasts in the fresh air.

Snug room with a electric woodburner, LCD TV with DVD player, double sofa bed and circular dining table seating 4 with views overlooking the front garden.

Spacious farmhouse styled kitchen with large wooden dining table with bench seating, gas Aga, fridge freezer, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine and dishwasher. Fully equipped with all the cooking utensils needed for your stay.

Mixed review really. The house itself is lovely and in a gorgeous location. Hot tub is definitely worth the xtra money. However I will say if you have young children or dogs then this not the property… More

Response from the manager Thank you for your review and we welcome your observations, we have welcomed many lovely guests who have enjoyed Bridge cottage which is reflected in the lovely reviews. We would like to point out that while Croyde Beach is not accessible to dogs from May to September, dogs are allowed at the neighbouring beaches of Putsborough and Saunton which are 5 minutes away by car or a 30–40-minute walk. We do discourage guests from allowing dogs on lounge furniture or bedding, this is a standard condition of most respectful holiday homes as this is unfair to future guests. Bridge cottage is a property that has repeat guests that come with young children and dogs, and we have never received any complaints or similar concerns over the years. Unfortunately, on this occasion a potential welfare issue was highlighted that dogs were left unattended during the day, barking, and howling for days into the holiday. We feel it is right to act accordingly with a friendly message to the guest to inform them that the dogs appeared in great distress in case they were none the wiser. After highlighting this the dogs were quieter for the remainder of the stay. However, the guest responses we were saddened and shocked by to be met with such uncaring and unsavoury responses from the dog’s owner, and one we would not welcome to Bridge Cottage or other properties we manage in the future.

You will be pleased to hear that the new owners of Bridge Cottage have been granted planning permission to widen the bridge access, This will make life a little bit easier in the future for those with larger vehicles. (note: 4x4's and trade vans access the cottage frequently) Useful tip: There is a short cut to the beach alongside Billy Buds if you plan to visit the area in the future. How do damage deposits work?
