Description

We are away from the hustle of Key West activities, but close enough to the excitement when you want it and the Atlantic Ocean’s spectacular sunrises, sunsets and endless views of the starry nights.

We have one of a kind property in the Florida Keys with custom built fence, gated, quiet and peaceful, 32' pool, BBQ, Atlantic Oceanview 2 acres estate. Most importantly, we use non-toxic detergent and eco friendly products in our property, bed linens, towels so our guests can have good night's sleep. We know you will enjoy every moments at the property.

The bedrooms arranged as follows:

Master bedroom: 1 King

Second bedroom: 1 Queen

Third bedroom: 1 Queen

Fourth bedroom: 2 Bunks

Bean bag chair/Queen bed (Common area)

To spread out to relax or sleep additional two guests, we have a bean bag chair, convertible chair folds from bean bag to bed. We have added to all of our mattresses with an odor-neutralizing, anti-bacterial feature designed memory foam mattress to help you fall asleep easily and stay asleep throughout the night and greatly relieve back pains, and wake up feeling fully rested.

Also our property is a nesting place for many Keys deers, turtles, iguanas, butterflies, variety of native birds, coconut and palms. We have a very rare flower tree call Joe wood tree, which has an amazing fragrance after sunset. You will have an amazing sunrise, sunset and starry nights view from our home. We are more eco minded lodging than a typical hotel/commercial lodging.

There's plenty of room for play, peace, and parking. The property is situated on Cudjoe Key, MM21, about a 15 minute drive to Key West. It's a safe area with older residents and tourists. The three story Caribbean/conch-style Main House on stilts with all rooms and large porch on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The porch and three of the bedrooms overlook the pool, playground area, and ocean. All bedrooms have at least two sets of French doors that open onto balconies.

The house was built so that the breeze could flow in through those doors on the Atlantic side and out the ones on the Gulf side. This works perfectly in winter and makes one feel like they are on a sailing ship. However, we do have modern air conditioning installed now for anyone not used to the humidity.

The Main House has a fully equipped kitchen, living room, laundry room and two bathrooms. We provide all bed, bath and kitchen linens, utensils, cookware, dish & laundry soap, bath soap, bug spray, etc. Underneath the Main House is a breezy open seating area, with steps down to two hammocks and the carport.

The pool has a spill-over (not a hot tub). The bbq/playground area has a tether ball and corn hole game, foosball, patio swing, and a half basketball court. Or you can just hang out - there's a variety of chairs and lounges in different areas.

We are surrounded by a 6' high white picket fence for privacy with two gates. There is plenty of room for parking cars plus a small boat or motorhome (Owner's permission needed). We're just off of US1 where there's a new biking path.

I am the inventor of the RainbowBrush, and travel frequently, so my property manager will be there to welcome you, give you the house tour, keys, ideas what to do and see such as fishing, use our neighborhood Cudjoe Gardens Marina, etc. My property caretaker lives nearby in Key West , and is knowledgeable with pretty much anything and just a phone call away.

We still have much to improve after the hurricane Irma from two years ago and we are still trying to recover from it. Many of us the Florida Keys lost the green and many older trees with 180mph wind. Response from the owner Problem to the lodging industry > How to deal with scams of > "More guests stay than actually booked"!!! Here is one recent example. Frank Gillespie and Sonia Gillespie, husband and wife from Holiday, Florida recently tried to use the same technique with White Ibis Inn, find out more and as a vacation rental owners be cautious of these kind of scams. Here is one prime example how guest cheat and deceive White Ibis Inn from paying the correct amount when they make a reservation for an accommodation showing by less guests but later bring double or triple number by hoping no one will noticed. I am the property owner of White Ibis Inn. The property has two houses with a total of 6 bedrooms, and can accommodate up to 14 guests. We charge a flat fee for each night with 6 guests, and $17 for each additional guest per night. We normally do not allow any dogs, but for anyone with special needs, we are willing to make an exception. Mr. Frank and Ms. Sonia Gillespie rented our home for their daughter’s wedding for 3 nights and with 9 registered guests. They know that our house is a 2-acre large estate with a lot of privacy, and is fenced and gated. They ended up bringing nearly two dozen guests with 5 large ‘Cane Corso’ breed dogs for their daughter’s wedding, believing that it would pass unnoticed, since the property owner usually stays in Canada. We recently experienced the Category 4 Hurricane Irma two month ago, and our property went through major devastation like every other property in the Keys, and had sustained damages. We had 10 feet of ocean water on the property, 180 mph winds that ripped off the power pole, ripped off the roofs of many houses, and no one had electricity or even cell reception for a solid month in the Keys. Our swimming pool was full of seaweed, lobsters, crabs and fish. But through our best efforts, we were able to pull the property back to virtually normal standards and make the house ready to properly welcome the guests, Mr. and Mrs. Gillespie. Upon their arrival, we served them fresh coconut milk, almonds, and chocolate. They were happy and express their gratitude for making the house available for their daughter’s wedding. The property manager and myself also made clear to them that the house and property was not quite as perfect as it was before the storm, but if for any reasons they changed their mind, and were not happy, they were welcome to stay one night, and next day they could move to a hotel or a place where they would be more comfortable and we will refund their full money back, as we want our guest to be happy and have a good experience with White Ibis Inn. But they stayed and enjoyed the property, and after went back home, they began to ask for a 25% discount, stating that the property was not as it was before the hurricane. Based on our CC camera, and according to the witnesses, (the house keeper, myself and the manager), we noticed they had brought 18 guests than they had paid for (they paid for 9), and in addition, they brought five dogs and left the house a big mess with trash. After calculating the facts in accordance with our rental agreement, it turned out that the guests owed White Ibis Inn an additional $2,300, but they deceived us in their reservation forms when they booked our property, and then began spreading malicious statements and false information on the internet, while trying to distort money. No doubt, they do this to other homeowners as well. In their conduct, these people feel no shame and have no limit to their vile behaviors, and everyone should be aware of their names the next time that they try to take free vacation at others’ expense.
