Description from owner

Description

Brambles at Alderwood Lodges, is situated on the edge of Garboldisham village, on the Norfolk/Suffolk border by the Little Ouse river. It has a king size bedroom en suite & a twin room and another bathroom. We have 3 lodges (Hawthorns, Brambles & Burnside), all set in tranquil 9 acres of woodland & grassland area with wildlife surrounding. A bird hide is on site for all guests to enjoy, with maybe spotting the kingfishers on the river and even on rare occasions the otters. This is a great place to stay for wildlife lovers and anyone who enjoys peace & quiet. Children will love building dens in the wood and dogs will enjoy walks on the site. We normally only accept 2 dogs per lodge but could be flexible if small dogs but please enquire first.

Please note that we do not have an enclosed garden so please keep dogs under control. Please clear up after your dog and please keep pets off sofas and beds. Please do not leave dogs unattended in our lodges unless by prior arrangement and only if left in a dog crate for maximum of 3 hours.

Electric car charger available at lodge and will be unlocked upon request and charged on usage.

“Most relaxing break I have ever had”

Reviewed 14 Feb 2019

Our every comfort was catered for from modern appliances in the kitchen, (including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer) to two well appointed bathrooms. The showers are divine! Immaculately clean throughout, the lodge was beautifully designed and very comfortable. The visiting wildlife kept us well entertained but if you’re looking for more there is a wealth of information on activities, walks, local attractions and places to eat kindly provided by the owners. For rainy days there are two tv’s, games, puzzles, dvd’s and interesting books to while away the day. We enjoyed our stay so much we immediately booked again for next year.

“Absolutely amazing”

Reviewed 5 Dec 2016

We stayed in Brambles 29 November to 6 December 2016 just myself and my partner and our 19 month old son. Initially we had to change the dates of our trip due to a family bereavement and Leigh was so understanding and helped us to ensure we could adjust our dates to still enjoy a weeks stay. The location is stunning, the lodge is immaculate and very well presented with everything you need provided even down to shower gel, cleaning products, bin bags, coffee and tea and some welcome biscuits which was nice after a long drive We enjoyed walking around the park itself exploring along the riverside walk and the bird hide (although we didn't get far with our son picking up every leaf lol!) and we even ventured out at dusk for a torchlight walk! There's loads of games, books and dvds as well as a box full of leaflets on places to go and visit. Due to the time of year for us we were limited and where we could go but tbh this just gives us the perfect excuse to come back! Thank you for a lovely stay it was the perfect uk break for us and our son.
