Grade II Listed Weeke Barton is now available during the summer holidays and at Christmas and New Year for self catering hire. Perfect for a family celebration or group of friends and we are dog friendly. This really is a super house for a large family or group of friends looking for a quiet peaceful location, surrounded by large lawn gardens and with a quirky mix of modern and rustic interior design.
With 5 gorgeous en suite rooms all with views over the garden and surrounding countryside. Lounge and dining room both with wood burning stoves. The property also boasts a snug with bar, great for entertaining and playing host! With full Wi-fi throughout the house, flat screens with attached DVD players (no TV signal) in every bedroom and a Sonos music system installed throughout downstairs. The farmhouse kitchen with its large central island is perfectly equipped to deal with all your catering needs. Two large double ovens, 2 hobs, salamander grill and microwave, enough pots and pans to deal with your small army, along with Kitchen Aid mixer and blender you should find everything you need.
Set in 5 acres of its own gardens with Petanque pitch for afternoon competitiveness, cosy corner with outdoor wood burning stove and lighting, the perfect place to watch the amazing night skies. Tucked away at the bottom of the garden lies a homemade den set by a small stream, where the kids will spend much mucky time.
Exclusive use is based on all five rooms, 10 adults with space for 4 extra beds. With wild adventures and walks to be had right from the door or dartmoor and the coast no more than 30 mins away, come and enjoy time with your friends or family in style in a truly beautiful location.

“Family break.”
We booked this as a break for myself, husband and almost 3 year old, along with my sister and her partner and my father. The house was lovely, very spacious and well equipped. The grounds are beautiful and our son was able to roam free and explore. The only criticisms would be that we were not aware that the owners lived in a self contained house attached to the property. As it happened, they were away for most of the week we booked. Upon their return they were very friendly and welcoming. I’m sure they were not remotely interested in what we were doing but we still got that “big brother” feeling and of not wanting to disturb them in anyway. They also have two lovely, friendly dogs. As a family of dog lovers that wouldn’t usually be an issue, but as we left the door open due to the lovely weather young Winston made several appearances in the house, and for some reason our son is scared of dogs so caused a couple of issues. However, we did not mention this to the hosts and I’m sure that if we had they would have tried to prevent this happening. All in all it was a lovely stay in a well equipped house and an enjoyable time was had by all.

If we had known we would not have let them out and about. With regards to our property - we do live in an attached part of the building ( almost the end terraced house! ) but as you said go away when it is rented exclusively on a self catered basis. We returned just before you left and were not really aware of your presence as we have our own entrance, drive and garden. The wall's are also very thick in the property. !!! “Excellent Xmas and New Year Venue”
Beautiful peaceful setting well located for walks, Dartmoor etc. Local pub a bit of a struggle uphill all the way. Good to have owners next door just in case. Superb accommodation. 5 good ensuites. Fabulous layout on GF with lovely snug bar and all you need in a good professional kitchen. We have been going away as a group of 10 for 12 years and this is up with the best.
