Description

Casa das Furnas is located in the Valley of Furnas, in protected landscape area in a unique natural setting in San Miguel, in the Azores. The House has been refurbished and features a contemporary décor. The large glazed openings provide panoramic views of the entire mountain range surrounding the Valley. The House includes a balcony, terrace with BBQ and all the garden area with fruit trees. All indoor and outdoor areas are of exclusive access for guests. The House has 2 toilets and a fully-equipped kitchen where meals can be made.

The property is next to the pool, the terra nostra Park 500 m, 1, 2 km from Lagoa das Furnas and 1 mile of boilers of Furnas. In Furnas village there are several restaurants with traditional Portuguese food. The nearest beach is the Ribeira Quente (10 km), a small fishing village where there are also several restaurants.

The João Paulo II airport in Ponta Delgada is 45 km (approx. 40 min).

Response from the owner Thank you for your nice comments, we hope to see you soon. Yes, going to the thermal baths in the morning and being alone in the pools is a really nice experience. I'm glad that you were able to park right outside the house as it is steep and narrow if other car is parked there (not easy when you are driving a car you are not used to). We usually recommend other alternatives to park along the main road 50m from the house.

Response from the owner Thanks for your comments, you are welcome to come back anytime. I understand that for some people the noise of running water is not so relaxing as for others. Although windows are double glazing you will always hear the water on the silent of the night. As the fridge is integrated in the bottom cabinets (for design reasons), it is not big but it is probably enough for 3 or 4 days stock (for 4 persons). Also the grocery store in the main road (50m) has all sorts of goods and opens everyday at 8am.
