This home is conveniently located right in between the north shore of Lake Granby and the south shore of Shadow Mountain Lake. Lake Granby, Arapaho Bay, and Beacon Landing Marina are right down the street. Also close by you'll find the Green Ridge boating site, Pine Beach, the Trail Ridge Marina, Spirit Lake ATV and Snowmobile Rentals, and the Roadhouse Bar and Grill. It is a short drive to the Stillwater Pass and the Idleglen trail heads, Grand Lake, Downtown Grand Lake, and Rocky Mountain National Park! The home was purchased by the owners in spring 2017 and has seen some nice upgrades and improvements to make it ready for rental. The lower level of the home has a secondary living room with a Foos Ball table, a lounge area, and a game or card table. This ground floor level also has the bunk room, with Full over Full bunk beds, a full bathroom, and laundry. Up one floor, the main level of the home has a nice open layout. It combines the living room, dining room, and kitchen into one large space that features 2 story tongue and groove vaulted ceilings with exposed timber beams. Good quality furniture, a new dining room set, and a nice HDTV combine with the classic wood stove, thick soft carpeting, wagon wheel chandelier, and other little touches to give this space just the right mix of mountain lake house charm and modern comforts. Also on this level, you'll find the Queen bedroom, a full bathroom, a storage room, and the massive wraparound deck. Upstairs is a loft area with loveseat and the largest bedroom, which has a King bed, a Twin bed, double closets, dresser with mirror, and ceiling fan. Summer guests will love the large deck. It wraps from the covered front porch and BBQ area around to the back porch which is also covered. The side deck in between the front and back porches is very large, a space you'll be sure to enjoy, and the entire deck is elevated and gated, making it an ideal place to hang out. The yard is a good size and filled with mature pine and spruce evergreen trees, and the Y shaped driveway allows plenty of space for multiple vehicles and trailers. There is even space under the deck for smaller vehicles or other gear. Response from the manager Richard, Thank you for taking the time to review our cabin. We are glad that you enjoyed the deck and found the location to be convenient. We decided to upgrade the cable based on your review. The home now gets over 100 channels, including ESPN, the Travel Channel, & Nickelodeon, to name a few. The home is surrounded by evergreen trees, so the views are not too bad. While you won't see lakes and mountains from the home itself, you will if you take a quick walk around this quiet and lightly visited "neighborhood." Our trash procedures are pretty simple, for your safety, and based upon experience. The Grand Lake area is not an urban area. We've found trash pick up services to be unreliable, and hungry animals in the area are very crafty. We bet you don't want to to stay in a vacation home where hungry bears have learned they can find easy meals. So, we buy special trash bags, at $5 for each bag, and provide them for guests to use. These bags can be dropped off for free on the way into downtown Grand Lake. So, we request that guests take their garbage with them when headed into town or when leaving. Many vacation homes in the area follow this same procedure. It's for your safety, and the safety of the wildlife.
