Response from the manager As the property owner I have not responded promptly to this review as I was hoping the guests would, on reflection, remove it. This was not a question of an over zealous manager harassing guests. Shortly after their arrival I visited the property to find a young child unsupervised hurtling downhill on a scooter and he would have been under my car wheels had I not been approaching very slowly. After falling over, he kicked the door of a cottage to alert an adult who appeared and, when I told her of the danger he was in, she told me "he has ADHD and I can do nothing with him". Behaviour such as this continued throughout their stay. The children were mostly unsupervised and, at times, putting themselves in danger as the adults partied. The manager most certainly did not complain about a 15 year old being alone or was rude to the children. He merely tried to keep them safe and stop them causing damage. No-one was "hounded" for money and, in fact, the person who booked the cottages had no money, did not pay and has, to date, not paid for the accommodation for his wedding party who stayed for 3 days. When asked for payment before leaving he described the venue as "awesome", said they had had a wonderful time, apologised for the behaviour of the children saying " we just let them run wild", apologised to me that he had no money and asked for a few extra days to pay. This was granted and then he stopped answering calls and e-mails! No consideration was given to other guests who were staying with us at the same time. The games room is for all of our guests to enjoy and not to be trashed! All in all this is a most inaccurate account of what actually happened and most unfair criticism of my managers who go the extra mile to ensure that our guests stay safe and have a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I also feel that it is amazing to leave such a review for something that you haven't even paid for!!
