“Abdet cuerpo sano mente sana.”

“Cycling Week 23 - 30 November 2019.”
The mix of excellent cycling, quality food, great company and good accommodation in a genuine Spanish village provided the best weeks cycling holiday I have had to date. Nothing was to much trouble for Tom, from feeding a group of hungry cyclists to being a great guide, action photographer and bike technician. Whilst the terrain is most definitely undulating, the roads in the main are excellent with traffic light in the extreme. I would highly recommend the holiday, location / accommodation to anybody interested in cycling, running or just experiencing the great outdoors of the hills / mountains of the Costa Blanca.

“Fantastic stay and week running”
We spent a week trail running with Tom and he was a fantastic guide, really knowledgable about the trails and the local area. The accommodation was great, Abdet is a lovely quiet village with some amazing views from the rooftop terrace. It’s definitely worth getting up early to see the sunrise over the mountains.

“Cycling week in rural Spain”
Two friends and I have just returned from a week of road riding with Tom at Abdet. We did 475 miles on perfect mountain roads with not a pothole in sight. And hardly a car either. Tom is an excellent host, cook and guide and Abdet is a great base for a week of solid riding in "real" rural Spain. Recommended!

“Eat, Run, Walk, Climb, Cycle, Sleep, Repeat.”
I you love all things outdoors, such as mountain walking, trail running, climbing, and cycling then you can't miss this place. Tom is a legend in these parts for his knowledge and enthusiasm which he loves to share with his guests. He will take you to the best places and show you the best times and in the evening treat you to the best food and wine, followed by a film show of your days out. Then snuggle down in a lovely cosy bed, sleep like a baby after your days efforts, knowing Tom will have another adventure planned for you the next day.

“The perfect place for a weeks trail running in the Spanish hills”
Abdet is the perfect location for trail running in the mountains. The accommodation is comfortable, well equipped and close to many trails heading up into the hills. I'm sure I'll be going back again and again.

“Excellent accommodation for outdoor pursuits”
Excellent accommodation for outdoor pursuits is provided by Tom in Abdet, a small village off the beaten track with exciting mountains close at hand. With my brother I enjoyed a superb week of walks led by Tom, who provided the transport, ensured we ate very well and acted as official photographer. He could not have been more helpful. The house has all “mod cons”, including broadband Wi-Fi access; the roof terrace has uninterrupted views of mountains and sea. An opportunity to see Spain without tourists or to visit the popular picturesque village of Guadalest just down the valley. Relaxing.

“Great place for climbers”
Apart from this place just being great accommodation with a stunning view from the roof top balcony this is also a great place to stay as a climber. You are so near to so much fantastic rock (apart from a small crag in the village, there is also Guadalest is only 10 mins away by car). The house is spacious and has everything you need, and Tom is so helpful about what to do in the area. Can't recommend enough.
