Description

This beautiful 5 bedroom English country cottage sleeps 9+1 and is ideal for holidays and get togethers with friends and family.

Its setting is perfect and wonderfully private – it is surrounded by 5 acres of our fields where you'll find horses grazing and sits in a large fenced garden with rolling lawns and views towards the Malvern Hills. It lies outside the quintessentially English village of Hanley Swan with its village green, a lily-covered duck pond and a very welcoming pub with an open fire.

During the restoration of this 16th century house, great care was taken to preserve its original elements whilst incorporating all mod cons.

There is a massive 30ft kitchen with a double oven range cooker, granite worktops, breakfast area, a wonderful old pine kitchen table that seats 10+ and french windows leading directly onto the terrace, BBQ, outdoor dining area and the rolling 'croquet lawn'.

You can sink into comfy sofas in the large oak beamed living room with fireplaces at each end and with its TV/games/reading area with a Smart TV- with iPlayer, Netflix etc. There is also a downstairs cloakroom and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Upstairs there are five comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms - each bathroom has heated towel racks, a powerful walk-in shower as well as a deep bath for long relaxing soaks. The bedrooms: Bedroom 1 - Double room with king size bed, Bedroom 2 - Single bedroom with double bed, Bedroom 3 - Adult size bunk bed (Sleeps 2), Bedroom 4 - Adult size bunk bed (Sleeps 2), Bedroom 5 - Large Double room with a king size bed plus a Put-You-Up-Bed (+1) and a Travel Cot are available and will be put up on request. All bedrooms with sloping ceilings.

As you would expect duvets with cotton bed linen and towels are provided and all beds will be made up and towels laid out for your arrival.; electricity and oil central heating is included as is an initial very large basket of logs to feed the fires.There are a number of TV/DVD/CD players, a Klipsch iPod sound dock and WiFi. In the well equipped kitchen as well as the range cooker there is a microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer .........and a large wine rack.

Outside - in the summer there is a gas BBQ; croquet on the lawn; sun loungers plus we have some bikes which you are welcome to use for popping down to the village and exploring the area.

Accessibility: If you have limited mobility please check with us first. Bedrooms are on the first floor.
