Description
Treat yourself to a tranquil break in a beautifully restored Croatian stone house.. full of character, great views, air con, wifi, sleeps 6-8 people (see further note below) all 3km from the beach and coastal bars/shops.
We have a fabulous outdoor summer kitchen terrace, and a freshwater swimming pool with stunning views! Contact us for video of the house and location...
The ground floor lounge features exposed stone walls and beams, with a stylish solid oak dining table and corner sofa. The lounge gives access to the lower patio which is edged by a lemon tree/fresh herbs and ancient stone walls.
The kitchen has all you need for self catering with breakfast table, oven/hob, fridge/dishwasher/coffee machine, and features the original wall mounted bread oven (now unused!) At the rear on the ground floor you will find a wet room located within the marvellously thick stone foundations..
On the first floor you will find two large bedrooms, and a roof terrace with fine views across to Brac and the nearby Starigrad Plain - which is now a world heritage conservation area of great beauty. The first floor also features a charming bathroom with roll top bath and exposed stonework.
The master bedroom is in the whole of the upper floor where you will find a superking iron bed/exposed beams, and access to a further terrace area at the rear of the house.
Bedroom 2 has a king size bed and single day bed leading onto its own terrace area with fabulous views across the bay to Brac island. Bedroom 3 is a characterful large self contained stone feature with en suite facing the pool area.
Main house features include state of the art air conditioning and free wifi/smart TV allowing streamed entertainment from your local country.
Vrbanj is a vibrant village with an excellent pizza restaurant, shop and two bars. The stunning Adriatic beaches are just minutes away... We can help organise scooter/car/beach buggy hire, or bicycles to explore the excellent inland/coastal cycle routes. Head for the local towns of Starigrad or Jelsa (3km) to explore the ancient labyrinth of walkways and restaurants, or travel to Hvar town (20km) to see the lively mix of Venetian architecture, fine restaurants and lots of yachts!

Response from the owner Thanks for the review, we find the new summer kitchen/pool really adds to the charm of the house too! Regarding getting to the island, the Split-Starigrad ferry is a 2 hour sailing (we are 5km from the port) however there is a catamaran crossing taking just over an hour, or the inexpensive seaplane which only takes 13 minutes (arriving Jelsa 3km away)!
