Our upmarket, spacious, secure bright and beautifully furnished garden cottage, set on a 6800 square meter property, in the upmarket area of Houghton (1.5km from Rosebank) has a the feel of being on a wine farm yet is central to everything .The main house was built by Sir Herbert Baker in 1905. He was also the architect of the Union Buildings in Pretoria and many Johannesburg heritage homes. As you drive onto the property you will have the sense of being on an estate, whilst still being in the heart of Johannesburg, surrounded by beautiful giant 100 year old trees.

The 80 square meter (800 square feet) cottage is stand alone and has a beautiful garden of its own. The open plan dinning and living area is spacious with big windows overlooking the garden, it had a comfy couch with flat screen Tv Netflix as well as free fast unlimited Wifi.

The granite kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, kettle, NESPRESO machine, toaster, oven, stove and large fridge. It is stocked with tea, coffee and biscuits for you to Enjoy.

The bedroom is large and sunny and also overlooks your private garden. It has a brand new king size extra length bed with cotton percale linen, goose down duvets and pillows, lovely original artwork. Loads of cupboard space. There is a separate bathroom (complimentary shampoo, conditioner, soap and body cream). with a shower and toilet (no bath).

We also have a separate laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer, laundry can be arranged at reasonable rates. Ample secure parking on property.

We live on the property and are always happy to have a chat to answer any questions you may have. I can be reached on my cell phone during the day and early evening . I Am happy to offer advice on great restaurants and things to do. If we go away our lovely housekeeper or Housesitter will be there to welcome you and show you around. They will be on the property for the duration of your stay. We hope you have a lovely stay. Please stroll through our Exquisite garden, feel free to take a dip in the pool . A picnic blanket is provided in the bedroom cupboard, feel free to relax with a bottle of wine whilst enjoying our gorgeous sunsets. We are available should you need us but will leave you and give you complete privacy should you not.
