Description
Thasos is a beautiful island in the northern Aegean sea. You can reach the island easily by ferry boat from Kavala or Keramoti port. From Kavala there are 6 routes and it is a 1 hour and 25 minutes trip to Prinos. From Keramoti it is about 40 minutes to Limenas and the boat departs every 30 minutes.
The house is located in the western side of Thasos, in the traditional mountain village Kallirachi. It is a village with mostly stone houses and car free alleys, quiet and at the side of the mountain. The distance from the sea is about 2.5 km and the nearest beaches are in the village of Skala Kallirachi and Klisma, where you can find tavernas to eat seafood or meat. From this side of the island you can also enjoy the beautiful sunset.
We rent a cozy space of 104 sq m with terrace, an outdoor barbecue and a small vegetable garden. It is a two floor house. The first floor consists of a living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a WC/shower with laundry. Upstairs there are three cozy rooms, a bath, a quite big hall and two balconies with a view over the mountain and the sea. Our house is ideal for families and groups of friends.
There is a good road network throughout the island. Driving around the island usually takes about a day,making a few stops,you can find beatiful beaches and eat but also visit the traditional villages higher on the mountain. If you don't own a car there is the possibility to rent one at the ferry destination or take a taxi. A bus that travels across the coast line is an option too. There is also a public parking very close to the house.
