Description

Coconut Island is an exclusive island guesthouse in the middle of backwaters in Thrissur, Kerala.

We have only one traditional Kerala style cottage with tiled floor, wooden sealing and tiled roof and a spacious varandha around supported by old wooden pillars. The room is air-conditioned and has 2 single cots, which can be attached plus 1 or 2 extra beds on the floor. The rooms does not have Television or any indoor games.

The bathroom is spacious with open roof , closed walls and has western style toilets and hot and cold water showers.

There are separate house for staff and kitchen. And a spacious dining room at the middle of the island overlooking the backwaters. We serve only Kerala cuisine. The lunch and dinner would have one non veg item and more veg dishes prepared in Kerala cuisine

The price includes accommodation and breakfast. We do not keep any soft drinks. Any Mineral water, any extra dish / tea would be chargeable. Any excursions are not included.

We do not have the “facilities” of a resort. We have an informal setting where the guest could have an experience of staying in a secluded island close to nature.

Getting around

There is a public ferry (rowing boat) passing the island in every 30 minutes. At night, we always have a boat and boatman at the island. We can offer canoe for you at safe waters. Autos and taxis are available at boat landing with short notice.
