Description

Recently refurbished and redecorated throughout, Christmas Place is a well appointed maisonette sleeping 6 and arranged on 3 floors. There is road access to the front from Lower Contour Road and pedestrian access to the rear.

There are superb views from the decked dining balcony and most rooms across to Dartmouth and Waterhead Creek to the rear of the property.

Located in Kingswear which sits on the edge of the River Dart, surrounded by superb countryside and looking across to the olde world town of Dartmouth.

Christmas Place is conveniently situated for village amenities and is just 5 minutes walk to the car and passenger ferries to Dartmouth.

A parking space is included in the rental cost and available in the gated Darthaven Marina car park which can be accessed directly from the rear of the property.

The property will suit a group of friends, couples or families, for either a short break or main holiday as there is so much to see and do within the immediate area. We only accept bookings for whole weeks during peak periods unless it's within a month of the start date.

Upper floor (Lower Contour Road street level)

Bedroom 1 - En suite (King size double bed 150 x 200 cm)

Bedroom 2 / Reception. (Twin beds , one stored under the other, standard single bed size 90 x 190 cm)

Middle floor

Bedroom 3 The sunken bedroom, adjacent to bathroom (Superking size mattress 180 x 200 cm) .

A parking space is included in the rental cost and available in the Darthaven Marina car park which can be accessed directly from the rear of the property.

We generally offer the accommodation on a self change basis where you provide your own linen and leave the house as tidy as you found it.

“Quirky and lovely, spacious house with wonderful river and creek views”

This is a very original and artistically decorated house with wonderful views from many rooms, and especially from the very spacious balcony, adjoining the large kitchen / diner / living room. Many lovely pictures of local area. The only word of warning is for people not so good at navigating stairs- the accommodation is on 3 floors and the lovely outside space is also on 2 levels with lots of stairs. Kingswear is peaceful and pretty, and the ferries over to beautiful Dartmouth, are a short walk from the house and go over constantly. Although sadly we were only at Christmas Place for a couple of days, it is the kind of tranquil place we would be happy to settle into for much longer, with lots to see and do, including great walks etc.

“Why have I not stayed before !!!!”

Lovely accommodation, perfect base for exploring by car or go foot passenger on the car ferry - great fun. View is amazing, we didn't have TV on the whole stay and didn't miss it .Home from home. Every thing is provided - washing machine- dish washer - DVD player . Very quiet in day time and at night. Parking easy but you need to have good legs to get up the steps back of the property, after a few goes it gets better, all part of the holiday fun.

Fabulous place, fabulous location! Great property-comfortable, stylish and charming. Set over three floors, with the lower floor a kitchen/lounge/diner. Lower floor a great social space for all the family, with doors opening onto a large raised terrace offering stunning views. Would highly recommend Christmas Place and will definitely be booking again.
