Description

The house is located in the small and peaceful village of Trifillianika. The house has a breathtaking view of the ocean and the Peloponnese. It features a spacious living room area, a dining room, an open plan fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with respective bathrooms and one independent guestroom with a bathroom. The courtyard and the outdoor area have a dining area and a barbeque area. The building has been built in line with local traditional architecture. It is fully furnished and carefully decorated with selected objects.

The house is fully equipped featuring a TV, a DVD player, an Apple tv, free wi-fi internet, an i-pod dock station while there is a housekeeping option. The house can be rented as a whole throughout the year for a minimum of a week and can conveniently accommodate up to 6 people. An ideal place for a family vacation or a romantic escape.

It is just 25mins drive from the port of Kythira, 'Diakofti' and 15 mins away from the airport. Most of the beaches are 15mins drive from the village.

“Felt like home”

We had a great time on Kythira and we were very happy at Trifilianika House. The location is good, about a mile out of Potamus, which is the largest village on the island. It's a little too far to walk in the heat of the day, but it made a lovely walk in the evening. We had dinner in Potamus a few times and were treated to a lovely starscape on the way home. The supermarket is about 5 mins drive away. The situation of the villa itself is good, with nice views all around. I was really impressed with the look of the interior on the website photos and I was pleased to discover that it looks just as good in reality. It's very tastefully decorated and the fittings are very high quality. The outside table is in a nice shady spot. I stayed with my wife, two young children and my parents-in-law. The guest bedroom was perfect for my parents-in-law, giving them their own space and privacy but keeping everyone together. I would have liked to have had a bath for the children but I don't think many places have them. They did have an excellent (IKEA) high chair which we took out with us as many restaurants don't have their own. I can really recommend Kythira as a destination. It is beautiful and unspoiled by mass tourism. The weather was fantastic, as was the food. We often took the children down to Diakofti beach in the afternoons, which is a lovely half hour drive from the villa. Being the main port, you wouldn't expect it to be picturesque, but it is. The beach is sandy, very sheltered and the water is warm. There is even a shipwreck which you see as you drive down. I didn't find the booking process very easy but from that point onwards the manager of the villa was excellent. We had a couple of small issues but they were dealt with swiftly and efficiently. She called up just to check that we were enjoying our stay. It was a special family holiday for us which we will remember fondly in years to come

“quiet location, nicely designed and confortable house”

My husband and I were staying with our 2 teenagers for 3 weeks; Very nice house, located at the end of a quiet village, close to the main village of Potamos; The house is confortable, immaculate, with a very pleasant design; each of the 3 bathrooms are good as are the 3 bedrooms; everything is working perfectly including the wi fi which is not usual in Kythira.
