“Location, ammenities, comfort!” Laura's helpful, friendly manner made us feel welcome even before we arrive. Her beautiful home is centrally located with tons of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The beds were very comfortable, so we all got a good night's sleep which is a must for me with my bad back. The living room is spacious and open with a two story ceiling and lots of comfortable seating. I particularly enjoyed the clean, well equipped kitchen. With a small grocery just a convenient walk away, we were able to easily relax and "eat in" for a few meals and the back patio was perfect for conversation and drinks after dinner. We also enjoyed a long walk though the trees in Pease Park which is just a couple of blocks away. More ambitious souls jogged or biked but it was so pretty and peaceful we just took our time. An austin treasure tucked away on a quiet street just minutes from downtown and the UT campus, this is definitely a 5 star rental. We plan to rebook this gem next time we come to town for UT football games!

“Paradise found at The Cozy Cottage on Lake Travis!!!” Speaking for our entire family, I want to thank you for an amazing four day vacation/experience. Upon arriving at Living Waters, we were immediately drawn into the peaceful, inspirational environment that encompasses the "compound". "The Cottage" was perfect for the seven of us. After we arrived, we sat out on the back porch to admire our surroundings. Bethany arrived to give us some wonderful advice as to what to see and do in and around Spicewood. Her charm and enthusiasm immediately got us all excited about our next few days of activities. Our next activities were from Bethany and Travis's recommendations: visits to the Stone House and Spicewood Wineries and swimming at Krause Springs. I saved the best recommendation for last: The Friday night Tomato Happy Hour with Kathleen. We met so many wonderful "regulars" as well as the other two couples who were staying at Living Waters. It was a memorable experience. Kathleen is an amazing person. After I read her little book that was upstairs in the cottage, I couldn't wait to talk with her. She bonded instantly with our family and the children were taken in by her warmth and friendliness. Little Haynie hadn't come home by the time we left so Kathleen invited us to come back the next morning, bright and early, so that we could meet him. We set our alarms for 6:30 am and we were not disappointed. My grandson Evan (age 10) said that petting a deer was one of the most wonderful experiences he's ever had. We all decided that we wanted to have a pet deer of our own!!! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience life in that little corner of heaven called Living Waters. Tammy and Jim Green; Keith, Carol, Audrey and Evan Green; and Savannah Warner

“A heavenly little retreat in paradise” Bethany and her husband have the perfect set-up in Lake Travis. A snuggly little cabin tucked away in the middle of nowhere is the ultimate mode of relaxation. It immediately felt like home and a vacation at the same time. Not only are they passionate about finding quality beauty in everyday things, but they also have the most wonderful story of following their passions. Please go, give it a try, and unwind! :)

“Quiet Bungalow in convenient neighborhood” I stayed at this home for 4 nights with my friend for an extended weekend holiday. The photos are pretty accurate of what you will be getting. It's a duplex with a master bedroom at the top floor. Please note that there is no door to this bedroom, it's basically in a converted attic space. There are 2 other beds on the ground floor next to the dining area. I love the cute IKEA furnishings and well stocked kitchen. My friend and I were so happy to have pots and cooking tools to make breakfast after stopping by the Saturday farmer's market and Antoinelle's cheese shop. There is a laundry room outside of the house that is located in a separate garage. Bring your own detergent and flashlight. Pete was super helpful throughout the booking process.

“Living Waters in Spicewood TX” My girl friends and I booked the funky Blue Loft with the ladies weekend package upgrade for a quiet and relaxing bachelorette weekend. Everything exceeded our expectations! The wine tasting was wonderful, and both the massage and yoga classes were amazing. We also were very impressed with the effort Todd took to making sure everything was perfect for us. We will be coming back in the future!

Romantic Red Eco-Cabin at a Magical Lakefront Retreat Property on Lake Travis

Spicewood log cabin

“Personal Yoga Retreat” I booked a personal Yoga treat at Living Waters for my birthday to get away, de-stress, rest, and better my yoga practice. My stay at Living Waters far surpassed my expectations! The Romantic Red Room Eco-Cabin, was comfortable and quaint with modern amenities. I loved the natural light coming in and the ability to leave all the doors open to enjoy the ambiance of the hill country. Bethany, my yoga instructor was amazing!!! She catered my sessions to what I was specifically seeking to further my practice. I also received two Thai massages. . .Amazing! So beneficial for the body and just complimented what I was already receiving through my daily yoga practice. When walking the grounds you almost feel like you aren't in Texas, and the property is very close to many great local attractions. I highly recommend Living Waters and will definitely return myself!

“Great house for my large family!” The house was perfect for our family vacation. There was plenty of room for all (my husband and me, 4 daughters, 4 son-in-laws, and 4 young grandchildren). Nice kitchen, living areas, bedrooms, and backyard deck with grill. Located near Lake Travis and shopping areas. The pool/playground was within walking distance. Owner was so helpful and responded timely. This was the perfect alternative to a hotel. We could all be together. If you have small children you may wish to block the stairs at bottom and top. A large drawback for us was the parking. We were in 6 cars and only 3 cars allowed in driveway at any time.

“Perfect tranquility in the hills” It's easy to overlook great places like this - but this one offers great hospitality from the owners as well as a great location that was every bit as peaceful as it is beautiful. Myself and the other guests were impressed from the start with the cabin, from the homeliness of the interior to the thoughtful small details such as the provided iPod speaker dock, a set of movies, and reading materials. It's clear the owners take pride in the place, and are enthusiastic to share it with others. Pictures do not do this cabin justice, if you are looking for a place in the hills west of Austin, look no further!

Competitions and challenges run throughout the year, so you can see some top-draw golfers or play a round yourself.

Birdwatching enthusiasts will find one of the best spots for birdwatching in Texas at Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge. Home to the Black-Capped Vireo and the endangered Golden-Cheeked Warbler, there are also plenty of hiking trails to explore at the refuge. The scenic surroundings are spectacular.

Why not head for Flat Creek Estate Winery and Vineyard in Marble falls to check out the 22-acre vineyard, sample local, award-winning wines? There’s also a bistro here.

Or take a day trip to Austin and hike Mount Bonnell, catch a University of Texas home football game, visit the Bullock Texas State History Museum, or take a refreshing dip in Barton Springs Pool. There’s certainly no shortage of things to do!
