“A wonderful cottage in the Warwickshire countryside”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2021

I had a lovely week-long stay in Barn Owl Cottage. It is a self-contained small home that is perfect for two people, the garden is a beautiful extra and bigger than I expected. All the amenities were faultless- the wifi, TV, kitchenware etc. Clelia was a lovely host and was there for anything we needed. The location was great too, just outside Offchurch which is less than 10 minutes from the centre of Leamington Spa.

“This rather cramped property could do with some TLC”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2019

Coming from abroad we wouldn’t have booked for 3 weeks had we known there was no WiFi which we take to be a basic requirement. Clean linen was available but only on request.

Response from the owner Dear Julie It was lovely to meet you both and thank you for your review. The cottage is perfect for a short stay, but guests staying for longer than a couple of weeks or wishing to use the sofa bed for an extra guest are always warned before booking, like yourself, that some people may find it too small. The cottage is in the middle of the countryside making internet connection extremely difficult. As such, WiFi/internet is not advertised anywhere on our webpages. We are sorry if this was a disappointment to you. For future guests, fibre optic has finally reached us so we will be able to provide WiFi in the near future once the cottage can be connected. We are always happy to provide clean sheets and towels. We hope you had a pleasant return journey. Kind regards Clelia Lovell

“A lovely little cottage in beautiful countryside”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2015

Barn Owl Cottage is an ideal place for two people to spend a few days visiting this part of Warwickshire. It is very well equipped and has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. It is conveniently situated on the Fosse Way with easy access to the M40 and to other parts of Warwickshire. We would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting this part of the country.

“excellent stay”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2015

Barn Owl Cottage is nicely furnished and decorated all in great taste. Located just outside Leamington Spa so convenient for the shops and cafes and resurants but also just a 30 minute drive to The Cotswolds and even less to Shakespeares Stratford. The owners are most helpful and friendly leaving some tea, coffee and milk for arrival. The heating system worked to perfection, the evenings in November can be chilly but that was irrelevant as the heating took care of that. Though the cottage is a tad on the wee side the bedroom is magnificent with a huge bed that is as comfortable as one would want. We have been back since and can recommend Barn Owl Cottage. D K

“Cute and comfortable cottage”

Reviewed 21 Mar 2015

We were visiting our daughter in Warwick, so this was a very good base for us. The cottage is small but has everything you might need. We were warm and cosy and slept very well in the extremely comfortable bed also helped by being situated in such peaceful surroundings. Hope to return in the summer when we can enjoy the lovely garden and walk to local pub.
