Description

Very warm and comfortable with great mountain views, large terrace and garden

Guests have exclusive use of the whole property.

Underfloor heating and log fire. Traditional alpine chalet recently renovated but retaining a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere.

4 bedrooms all with new comfortable beds and quality linen duvets and blankets. Sleeps 4-8 in 2 doubles and 2 twin/doubles. One of the bedrooms is on the mezzanine above the living area.

There is underfloor heating throughout and a wood burner so the chalet is always warm. 2 bathrooms with baths and hand showers. 2 separate toilets. The garage acts as a ski and boot room and for other storage.

Large balcony and outside terrace with BBQ, tables and seating for 8.

Very nice private mature garden and great views all around the chalet up to the waterfall that cascades down behind the chalet, Mont Blanc and the Aguille du Midi.

Linen and towels are included in the price.

Wood for the fire is provided at no extra cost.

Access to Les Houches is very quick, about 5 minutes in the car or the other direction to Chamonix town, about 10 minutes drive. There is a walkable train station and bus stop nearby to access the rest of the valley, so a car is not essential.

Response from the owner Very harsh. For the price in August which is a peak week in summer the chalet is of very good value. The gas hob was a bit old and has now been replaced. A loose curtain rail is not really something to get stressed about. The top floor bedroom is described in the description and is comfortable and nice. The photos are not embellished. 1 star is ridiculous, 4 stars is probably about right.

“Amazing views, lovely, cosy chalet”

We visited this chalet over Christmas 2021 and the pictures don’t do this place justice! The log burner was perfect, the bedrooms cosy and warm and the under floor heating was a delight. Corin was very helpful throughout with any questions we had which was a bonus. The views from each bedroom were incredible and the location was perfect, a very short drive from Les Houches and Chamonix. The garage was perfect to store snowboards etc in. The garden was a lovely size and our two dogs loved running around. There was also a real Christmas tree ready for us when we arrived. We would love to stay at this cottage again, this was my first time going away skiing and I can’t wait to come back. Thanks Corin
