Description

The Apartment is situated in Lumbarda Resorts and offers fantastic views of turquoise water, picturesque islands and the mountains beyond. The complex is set on a hillside among pine trees in the quiet town of Lumbarda. Lumbarda is popular for sailing and sandy beaches. The area is also well known for good wine (GRK) and the historic fortified town of Korcula much like a mini Dubrovnik is just 6 km away. The island itself is in the stunningly beautiful Adriatic Sea and has, as yet, escaped mass tourism.

There is an active marina and a sport and activity center directly across from the Resort, on the pebble beach. The village has an abundance of restaurants, ice cream shops, grocery stores, a tourism office, post office, bank, fresh local fruit and vegetable market (the local olive oil and homemade vinegar are fantastic!).

Access is easy from Dubrovnik can be arranged as can bed and breakfast options. There is a manager on site and local discounts for car hire and excursions can be obtained if you let me know at time of booking.

The apartments have great views to the sea, has cooking facilities and utensils, dining inside or on the large terrace, air conditioning in the bedroom and multi channel flat screen tv. It has recently been upgraded and is in pristine condition. There is a shared swimming pool and external shower. There are 2 nearby supermarkets within walking distance ( 200 mts) and lots of other shops, bars and restaurants.

In addition to the on site swimming pool and toddlers pool, crystal clear water and pebble or sandy beaches plus the aqua park on your door stop, Boat Tours of Korcula Archipelago, Wine and food tasting tours , Korčula Island buggy and snorkel tours, Mljet Island National park Yacht Excursion from Korcula Island, Walking Tours of Korčula for Art and History Lovers are just some of the other possibilities. You can also hire canoes , boats , paddle boards or bikes etc from your door step to complete your adventure. . As there are over 70 apartments in the block located in Lumbarda resort apartments you can call to find availability if this apartment is not available.

Getting around

On land there are local buses in addition to local car and bike hire to get around the island on land. Boat taxi's from the pier 20 mts from the apartment can get you to Korcula. Local boat hire allows you to explore around the island and perhaps take a picnic in along the way. A ferry connects to Oribic regularly. However everything you need is near by, choice of restaurants, bakery, pizza bars, ice cream parlours and supermarkets. The weekly markets and fair are a 5 minute stroll. However it is hard to beat a leisurely stroll around the ragged coastal paths or thru the vineyards to the nearby sandy beach followed by a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters.

Interaction with guest

There is an onsite manager and receptionists on hand to deal with all your issues or questions as well as to provide you some tips for adventure and eating out. They may also be able to obtain some discounts for trips and equipment hire.

We stayed at the apartment in Lumbarda for 4 nights and we all wish we had more time to stay longer. The apartment was spacious enough for the four of us (kids 11&12). Balcony gave gorgeous views.… More
