L' Amelia propose une croisière authentique sur le Nil découvrant toutes les beautés de l'Egypte d'hier et de nous jours.
L'Amélia est un authentique Sandal, voilier fluvial traditionnel égyptien construit en 1963. Pendant 40 ans ce bateau a été utilisé comme transporteur de matériaux et de marchandises: pierres, paille et canne a sucre y naviguèrent d'un point à un autre du Nil. L'essor du transport
routier l'ayant laissé inactif plusieurs années durant, nous l'avons acquis en 2009 an de le remettre en activité. En 8 mois nous avons mener à terme les transformations nécessaires à ses nouvelles fonctions de bateau-croisière. Équipée de toutes les facilités nécessaires au transport de personnes, Amelia navigue désormais entre Louxor et Assouan. D'une longueur de 18 mètres sur 7 mètres de largeur, l'embarcation possède 2 grands mats de
12 mètres de haut portant chacun 1 voile latine de 23 mètres de haut. Ces mats sont inclinables et permettent le passage des écluses.
La coque du bateau est en fer, véritable travail d'orfèvrerie, où les pièces métalliques s'entrelacent avec art pour conféré solidité, stabilité et efficacité à l'embarcation.
