Tucked away in a quiet rural location just to the south of Lymington and close to the Solent coast this recently built mews of six cottages surround a private courtyard. All the cottages provide comfortable and contemporary accommodation with open plan living areas and spacious bedrooms, the master having en-suite facilities. Lymington is a picturesque town with plenty of inns, restaurants and shops as well as the fascinating water front and the stunning forest scenery is a short drive away. All in all these cottages provide a perfect destination for families or friends wishing to explore and enjoy this beautiful area. “We’d love to visit this place again”

We’re a family of 4. We stayed in Solent Mews # 4 last year and we had a wonderful time so we booked again & stayed at Solent Mews # 2 this time. Price hasn’t changed from last year which is really good. Our cottage ( #2) was more modern & obviously done some works compared to # 4 . But I think all the cottages are being updated anyway as we noticed the new doors & windows It’s clean, spacious, comfortable & everything we need is there ( we’re a family who loves to cook ). I have 1 & only question by which I emailed to ask if there’s a cafeteire in #2 as there is one in #4 where we stayed last year. I was told there’s none so I brought my big cafeteire from home. There’s actually 1 in the cottage & a filtered coffee maker too. My cafeteire broke by the way on our way home( home is 6H away) We visited loads of places while we’re there. ( Durdle Door, Bournemouth Beach, Shorefield & Hampshire Lavender Farm on our way home) We love the sorrounding area, we go for a bike ride to the beach & field everyday. We brought our wetsuits + body borrds with us, we enjoyed the beaches nearby. We had a blast ! We’d love to go back there again A new, modern Duvet cover would be nice & maybe mow the shared lawn once a week too

Really nice location, clean and tidy, well equipped. Good for walking, great to have parking and outside space. Considering what we paid for our stay we would expect a better standard of up keep. Previous reviews have not been noted or adressed. Get decent beds Fix the curtain poles Replace 50% of the dining chairs they are dangerous. Replace the 3 legged clothes horse.lol for a 4 legged one. This property deserves to be the best in show, great size, balcony good, just needs to be loved, invest a weeks rent and it will be perfect.

quiet location, car definitely needed if you're not a walker. washing machine , dishwasher, tokens for drier provided,well equipped kitchen. Could do with a bit of maintainance, especially the stairs they are very squeaky and one felt as if it was about to give way when stepped up on.window hinges need oiling as they are very stiff to open wide. Lamp outside could do with being subdued somehow as it shines in to bedrooms all night or curtains need replacing with blackout ones.

“Our expectations were more than met....”

We were delighted with our short stay. The cottage is neat and tidy, spacious and well furnished. Its location allowed us to explore the New Forest and its coastal resorts - we even managed a day trip to the IoW - and we got on good terms with our neighbours. We appreciated the Owner's prompt response to the problem of a leaking washing machine. The only (very small) quibbles are that [1] there were no instructions on dealing with household refuse - our local authority carries recycling to an extreme and [2] the stairs are creaky! Oh yes, we mistook the drive to the main house as the entrance to the Mews. Apologies! We are already planning our next visit to Solent Reach, probably in the Spring.

“Nice Area”

I booked the property last year so that we could take my parents on holiday, they had never been to the New Forest, the cottage is ideally situated for the area that we wanted to visit and is the perfect size for 4 adults. We made a cup of tea on arrival, but found we had to wash some of the crockery and the cutlery before we could use it, we noticed the dishwasher was not clean so set it going, only to discover it was not working. I got in touch with the owner and within only a few minutes someone came round, it took a few days to sort it but the owner kept us in touch with the situation which we found helpful, The fridge shelves were broken and did not fit well, we did mention this and the cleaner came round with new shelves that were not big enough, we spent all week having to be careful with what we placed on the shelves. The cottage is ok, though not as clean as we would have liked, the owner was obliging and very helpful when our postal voting papers did not appear, keeping in touch with us after the post arrived. We love the New Forest and plan on visiting it again next year.
