“Our personal resort” The house was well maintained,large enough for extended family to have their own space and close to all the activities we wanted to participate in. The back yard was large,quiet with a pool and hot tub...never had to even go to the beach. Would definitely return!

“Peaceful Getaway” A group of childhood friends, our spouses, and my young child just completed a visit to this lovely cottage. We had a wonderful time in the peaceful and beautiful Catskills -- hiked at Minnewaska State park, biked on the O&W; Rail Trail, and cooked, played games, and roasted marshmallows at the house. The cottage is very well-appointed with plenty of comfortable space to relax, eat, and sleep. I hope we'll have a chance to return.

“Has a lot to like but needs a little help!” We enjoyed our stay and would like to go again. The river was a constant source of beauty and entertainment. I would suggest that the cleaners do a better job between renters. On first day we had long black hair on bath floor. Also, as one other reviewer suggested the comforters on the beds and sofa blanket should be washed AT LEAST every other renter. They had a bad odor and were quite dirty.

“Home away from home” We absolutely loved our stay here, from start to finish. I will rave about the apartment itself but first let me rave about the owners, Kevin and Annmarie, who were like helpful friends rather than 'landlords.' When our travel dates changed slightly, Kevin worked with me by e-mail to ensure it all worked out (a huge relief since we were coming all the way from Australia!). He met our taxi when we arrived, carried a bag upstairs for us, and he and Annmarie gave us the tour of the fabulous 2nd-floor apartment, complete with food and wine they had stocked for us, and gave us directions to everywhere we might need to get to. Through the course of our 3-night stay, they were both available with suggestions for sightseeing or meals, chats about universities (we were taking a few campus tours in the area), pets of their dogs, and were overall so kind and welcoming that we couldn’t have felt more at home. The apartment is close to EVERYTHING - Whole Foods grocery store, trains, Harvard and MIT, restaurants. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need for cooking your own meals, the beds were comfortable, the apartment clean, the street quiet; we all appreciated the free wifi and the cable TV. Overall we were so relaxed and comfortable here. It was a home away from home and if we ever go back to Boston we would definitely stay here again!

“Lovely Maine Retreat” Had a wonderful stay at Hollyhock House. Spacious and comfortable. We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the garden produce. It was in the fall so the fruit was ripe. Beauty is everywhere and Hollyhock House was a great place to enjoy.

“Second Yr Renting - Lovely Clean Family Home” This is my family's 2nd year of renting this beautifully decorated immaculately clean and upscale family style home with all the extras you would have in your own home. We had such good memories there the 2 years we have rented. My initial impression is this is a really large house with plenty of room for our family to spread out and have some space to read a book watch television, very homey. There is good sized yard for a cookout, also a volleyball net was up so we played a game of badminton, it was fun! There was a large deck outside also and adirondack chairs for reading a book. The kitchen is full scale and great for cooking a lobster or anything, having your typical morning breakfast and dinner at home. My son enjoyed the bunk beds and the internet in his room as well as the den off the kitchen stocked with a television and video games to unwind after a day at the National Sea Shore. Both beaches Nauset Beach and Campground Beach are only a short drive away. At night and in the am we would take a nice long walk to the bay side beaches at the beginning and end of each day.. This is a very quiet well kept area. We didn't have to drive far to go anywhere. This home is located in the center of it all. Downstairs there is a full laundry room to wash your towels, etc. so you don't have to return home with bunch of dirty clothes. So convenient for me! The Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path is completely paved is only one block away, as well as lots of seafood restaurants, antique shops and the best ice cream place ever. We will be going to all our familiar places. This is a great rental for a family that enjoys the Cape and the beach and wants a nice clean family style home to relax in at night. The neighborhood is very quiet and great for walking for your nightly ice cream. Obviously we are returning this year, I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

“Beautiful!” This apartment was beautiful! It has such character, beautiful woodwork and is very spacious. I had such a great weekend here and highly recommend this place. Or maybe I shouldn't so that next time I want to stay here it will still be available . . . :) In all seriousness, it really is a great apartment, really close to everything you might need: transit (bus routes and metro station), a depanneur right next door, a delicious boulangerie around the corner, walking distance to Schwartz's. The apartment itself was great, with a full kitchen, beautiful bathroom, living room to relax in, and all the amenities you might need. Definitely check this place out!!
