Lito Lodge - Oceanfront near Acadia

Lamoine house

  • 3 bedrooms
  • 3 bathrooms
  • sleeps 7

“Perfect get-away home.” You can't beat a quiet morning cup of coffee on the deck overlooking the bay and watching the lobstermen hauling in their traps. The beautiful starry night skies are also an amazing sight. This spacious lodge had more amenities than we dreamed of. Peaceful and secluded with a gorgeous view but close to many antique shops, Acadia N.P., Bar Harbor, places to buy lobsters, and other attractions. Something for everyone! We often saw Bald Eagles on our way down the long driveway. On the morning that we had to leave, I stood on the deck gazing across the water, and was joined 1 by 1 by each member of our family, each of us having the same thought- we did not want to leave! We would highly recommend this rental and hope to return some day!

ACADIA National Park. Walk to Ocean, Restaurants! Private Deck Mountain VIEW

Winter Harbor house

  • 3 bedrooms

“Comfy and Clean” Our family of five just returned from staying five nights in Winter Harbor. The stay was wonderful and the house was really great. We all felt so at home. The house was spotlessly clean. The neighborhood was very friendly. The owner provided so much helpful information on area sights and restaurants. There was everything we could possible need in the house for cooking. Three bedrooms upstairs provided nice privacy for early risers to start their day without bothering the others. Nice little deck for quiet reading in the sun. Short bike ride to Grindstone Neck. Could have easily biked to Schoodic Point but ended up driving. Just loved it. Hope we can go back again!!!

“We had a great vacation experience at Cliffside..” We had a marvelous time during our stay at Cliffside and thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the use of this beautiful home with our friends. It was a great location-close to the park and town, but nestled amongst the trees for relaxing privacy. We saw deer behind the house several mornings and took some great pictures of a hawk perched in the tree just beyond our deck. The trails behind the house and Sand Point Road were convenient for morning hiking and jogging. Several mornings we enjoyed our coffee on the decks with their peaceful views of the bay. This lovely home provided a great base for visiting Bar Harbor and acadia- whale watching, visits to Cadillac Mountain, Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and the Thuya Gardens. We hiked around Jordan Pond and enjoyed the tea and popovers, visited Schoodic Peninsula, and took a carriage tour of the bridges. We really appreciated Bonnie's suggestions for dining and activities to enjoy, and everything went very smoothly from beginning to end. The weather was great and we had a wonderful time.

“A perfect home for our family getaway!” Tranquility on Penobscot Bay was truly a wonderful experience for my entire family! Everything we needed was supplied and the house was very spacious and comfy! All of the beds had great mattresses which was so nice. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved the big yard surrounding the house and the blueberry bushes right off the side porch was an added plus! Every morning my grandchildren went out and picked their own berries for breakfast! We were in the area to attend a wedding at French's Point which was located just a few miles down the road! It was so convenient to participate in wedding events throughout the week! On our one rainy day there, we made a fire and just relaxed in the spacious living area! Loved having a gas grill out on the large deck that wrapped around the house and we used it almost every night! Rocking chairs on the deck for early morning coffee, too! The ages in our family went from 60's down to 1 year old and everyone had the best time ever! Would return to this special home in a heartbeat!

“Fantastic Place to Stay” My husband and I and another couple stayed three days at this wonderful place. Our only problem was, we couldn't stay longer due to our other committments. John and Judi gave us information on things to do around the area that we didn't see on any other information. Acadia was closed due to the government shut down but we still had plenty to do. We slept with the windows open and could hear the waves crashing on the rocks. The place was clean, beds were very comfortable and they had everything we needed. We would love to go back and spend a longer time.

Log Cabin in the Best Town on Mt. Desert Island

Southwest Harbor log cabin

  • 3 bedrooms
  • 2 bathrooms
  • sleeps 8

“This is very clean, well-accomodated, and in a great location!” Our family just returned from a week in this great cabin. We wanted to be very close to acadia National Park, but not in a busy area. The location was perfect for this. The cabin is within walking distance of a small town with great restaurants and stores, and a very short drive (some 5 minutes, some 10 minutes, some 15 minutes) to all the sights of the national park. And when you return to the cabin you experience its quiet and natural setting at its best. It was rejuvenating to be there. The owners have obviously taken a lot of time and effort to make their home user-friendly. It comes equipped with everything you need for cooking and relaxing. Everything is clean and cared for, and the entire cabin has a cozy yet spacious feel to it. Very highly recommended!

Bagatelle Guest Cottage - waterfront in Bar Harbor

Bar Harbor cottage

“Cozy Cottage” My wife and I have traveled to acadia many times over the years, staying in hotels, other cottages, B&B;'s, etc. Our stay at Bagatelle Guest Cottage was by far our most enjoyable stay we've ever had. Checking in was a breeze, there were no surprises awaiting us in the cottages and it was spotless. The location was ideal for us, an easy walk to downtown Bar Harbor and an awesome view of the water and Bar Island. The main house was unoccupied most of the week so we had a very quiet and exclusive estate to enjoy by ourselves. I'll return to Bagatelle Guest Cottage on my next trip to acadis, that's for sure.

The resort also has the most lighthouses than any other region in Maine at a grand total of 24!

Throughout the year, the area’s complexion changes significantly. Expect snow in the winter, dashes of brown and golden leaves falling from the trees in fall, blossom in the summer and warm sunshine during the summer.

Acorn Cottage
Our home away from home

Acorn cottage could not have worked out better for us. It’s location near Bar Harbor and the Hull Cove Acadia NPS visitor center yet far from the crowds and set back by the woods made it ideal for us. The house was spacious, clean and well-equipped. Penny was super-responsive especially when we ran into a small issue, and she drove all the way in to attend to it. Would definitely hope to stay here again if we get back to the area. Thanks, Penny!!see more

This house is so well cared for. It is comfortable, clean and welcoming. The decks are spacious, also with comfortable furniture, and perfect for morning yoga! The view, well, the view is spectacular. We and our dogs spent much time on the deck just gazing, reading, more gazing, more reading. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here.see more

Awesome!

Second time my wife and I have stayed at this rental and if able, we would do it again. Although it is a little dated, it has all the things one needs while relaxing away from home. We got the chance to meet the owners and they were unbelievably accommodating and friendly. The grounds are kept spotless and it’s 10 minute drive to Bar Harbor or to the local airport.see more
