“Adorable cozy cabin added to the perfect vacation!” We arrived late on a Saturday night to the convenience of our cabin keys and directions easily accessible and they even left the lights on for us at the cabin! The floor plan is wonderfully designed, we enjoyed the comfort of the wood burner on those cold snowy nights! The cabin is really close to Moose alley which is a family hangout including an arcade, bowling, a dance floor, stage, fire pit and bar area with pool tables. All of the other amenities are just up the road to include an adorable coffee shop and other shopping opportunities! Convenient Snow machine rentals and of course skiing at Saddleback made this a perfect vacation. This cabin was clean and so comfortable with all the comforts of home nestled in a quiet little cabin community that is located on the lake. Of course for me the best part was that they welcomed my furry family members! Taking a vacation without our pets is not an option so we are very appreciative of places that open their properties to families that want to spend their vacation with their furry family members! Thank you so much for helping us to make this a perfect vacation!

“Truly a get-away-from-it-all experience” This was our 16th summer at Saddleback Lake Lodge, in Sbll#28. A glorious setting. The cabin is very well located and comfortable. My only complaint is that the tennis courts needs to be resurfaced.

Kadel

Oquossoc house

4 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 8

“We always enjoy the Kadel camp” The driving rain and wind on Sat. night (6/2) caused the roof to leak in the back bedroom with the twin beds. I believe it was just around the flashing on the exhaust chimney. It was a steady drip but only that one night of bad wind. Also one of the kitchen chairs needs reglueing. It was like that last year as well. Larger trash cans with lids should be provided. Animals got into stuff on the porch while we were out fishing.

“away from it all” We absolutely loved our stay at Saddleback Lake. The cabin was adorable - (living area furniture not really comfy) and beautifully situated on the lake. We listened to the loons every night and had fun paddling after them during the day in the provided canoe. It was great being on the smaller lake - no loud engines from motor boats or jet skis. So if you are looking for a beautiful and quiet spot this is a great place. and Melinda at Morton and Furbish is wonderful. really helped us make the right decision about where to stay.

“We had an extremely wonderful time.” Upon arriving we was very impressed on the upkeep of the place. The decor was very nice and fitting to our taste. It was very clean and well stocked so we didn't have to bring anything but our food. We do a lot of four wheeling and it was close to the trails. It was a very relaxing long weekend and we definitely made ourselves at home. We will be going back for a week if its still available to rent next summer.

“Nice house at a great location” We had two families in the house and the size and layout could not have been better. Two living areas made for a peaceful time at night and plenty of room to store snowmobile gear. We enjoyed our stay very much. Three items do need to be addressed in order to make the place perfect. The upstairs shower began leaking one day for no reason and then stopped, I could figure out why that happened... the queen size beds seemed to be either very old or very cheap but none of the adults had a good night sleep on them. Parking at the house can be tough, the overflow area was limited to one trailer wide so if we used it we would have boxed in another person's trailer so we had to keep everything at the house driveway which with two trucks and trailers and a third car it was tough. Not a big deal just something to keep in mind. If the beds where improved and the leak fixed I would rate the place as a+++. The walk over to Moose alley was short and convenient. A very nice place.

“Great Spacious Rental” We had a large group rent the home for a ski vacation. There was more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable. The details and decorations in the home were very nice. The large wrap around deck was great, although we did not really have the opportunity to enjoy it with the cold temps. Perfect home for a large group or family gathering.

“Beautiful week on a lake with loons in rural Maine” The house was perfect, immaculately clean, especially bathroom and kitchen. Well appointed with kitchen cutlery, dishes, pots and pans. And there were board games and a pack of cards if we tired of playing in the water or drinking in the beauty of the lake and trees. Spectacular. Just a bit far to get to from our home.

Lodges #17 - Hamble Retreat

Rangeley house

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Christmas at the lodge” We were very happy with lodge 17 and would recommend this as a getaway for anyone looking to spend some time in the mountains. The views are dynamic and we enjoyed the local town and even went snow mobiling. The lodge is kept in excellent order, very clean and cozy. If we had more time in this area we would visit here again. Only drawback to the lodge was the gas fireplace did not work and we were disappointed as that was a reason we chose this property. Other than that the place was perfect for our needs.

“comfortable, efficient, beautiful views, great location” The Reid property worked very well for our family. It was warm, hospitable, and lovely. After a day of skiing, we were able to come back to a cozy fire, and a warm shower. The kitchen was easy to maneuver in. The views from the overlook were spectacular. My daughter really enjoyed her space in the loft area.

“Perfect vacation!” I thought that the persons we dealt with at Morton and Furbish were professional, very friendly and responded quickly to any of my questions. We loved Stocker! It was perfect for our little family reunion. The house is comfortable, clean and the layout worked really well for early risers (the 2 & 5 year old) and their more reluctant parents, who could move from the attached bedroom room to the kitchen and let Grandpa and the teenage sister sleep in. We loved the kitchen. It had everything we needed to prepare our family feasts. The porches and the rocking chairs are delightful for those who wish to stay out of the sun and still enjoy the outdoors and the dock and water were fabulous for the fishes in the family. We loved the privacy the camp offered and yet it is conveneint to Oquassic for quick pickups at the grocery. I loved swimming, as many times a day as possible. The lake was so fresh and clean. The protected swim area was great for the younger children, who had no problems with the "stone steps to the water". That will remain our motto for this vacation. The entrance to the water is difficult, but did not stop our group. It was great! I would not recommend this place to elderly persons who wished to do water sports. I think the water access would be too rugged for them and be disappointing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

SBLL 31 - 10 Knoll Lane

Rangeley house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“The perfect ski vacation location” We love this spot. Stayed in a different cabin in 2008 and glad we have now gone back...remembered liking it, but forgot what a great spot it is. Cabin, location, amenities (very well stocked kitchen) all work well for us. Only notes, which I already relayed: had trouble locating it right off as the number had changed to 10, and it could use a blow dryer. Least? Maybe having a bathroom in the basement...it was very cold down there, so hard to encourage anyone to use that bathroom.

“Beautiful and peaceful oasis.” This property is a gem. Pristine and comfortable. It was amazing to wake every morning and look out onto Loon lake. Great for swimming and boating. We saw very few people on the lake, so the experience was the ultimate in peace and relaxation. We will definately book this location again. Very special.

Old Crow's Nest

Rangeley house

“Relaxing and comfortable with everything we needed.” This was our first time renting a cabin. We hope to go back to the Old Crow's Nest. We found everything just right. The kitchen had everything one could need. We used the grill one night and ate wonderful breakfasts on the deck. The bed was very comfortable and the views out the windows on both sides were breathtaking. We never turned on the TV. The views and loon sightings were what we enjoyed the most. We saw several loons and loved watching them feed their young. We wish we could have stayed longer and next time we will. Reading and relaxing and listening to the loons was our idea of the perfect getaway. We were especially appreciative of being able to bring our dog. That was an important thing to us. The folks at Morton and Furbish were great and friendly and responded when we called with a concern on a Sunday afternoon.

Great House

Booked this for a 50th Birthday weekend with friends and couldn't have been more pleased. Perfect set up for entertaining, house was extremely clean. Loved the basement space. Great location for snowshoeing & skiing. Only complaints was kitchen only had one tiny pot and no sheet pan, aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Biggest problem was mattress in basement bedroom hard as a rock. Didn't get any sleep, would be greatly improved with foam pad. Staff at agency was great, will recommend.see more

Great experience!!

I rented two properties from Morton Furbush during the month of February of 2014. Both rentals were great!! They were clean and fully stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We had fantastic snowmobile access right from our door. I would highly recommend Morton and Furbush for your next Rangeley vacation rental. They are easy to work with and set us up with the perfect properties. See you again next year!!! Chrissee more

Peaceful & relaxing Family friendly cabin

Very nice cabin in a quite neighborhood, peaceful and relaxing. Each of the beds my family and I slept in were comfy allowing us to get a great nights sleep! We enjoyed being able to use the kayak and the 2 paddle boards. It was nice to have a camp fire and make S'mores at night with our kids. Also that the cabin was close to places to fish, swim, hike, shopping, and local museums. We are looking forward to visiting and hopefully staying in the home again!see more
