If you are looking for a relaxing Beach holidaY, you can't beat this! Situated on the Southern tip of Sri Lanka, Talalla Bay Beach House is somewhere you will never want to leave!
This restored 5 bedroomed (all ensuite), fantastic but simple house is on one of the most unspoilt beaches you will ever find.
Down a few steps from the house and stretching for about 1km, the palm tree lined beach is perfect for a leisurely late night stroll topped off with glass of chilled wine at the end.
Whether having a breakfast of wonderful fruits and curd or a listening to the sound of the waves eating a delicious Sri Lankan curry, (all from local produce or catch of the day), this is an excellent place to relax and unwind. Our charming cook can also cook and present to you Western foods like pasta on the big table within the outside dining area.
We are located 15 mins away from the busy town of Matara, 30 mins from Mirissa, 1hr 30 mins from Galle and 2hrs 30mins away from Yala National Park.
Matara is a bustling town with a few very good supermarkets that sell western food, an Old Dutch Fort and lovely temples in and around the local area.
Mirissa is a little beach town about 30/40 mins from Talalla, on the way to Galle, where you can have a a lovely meal at a few restaurants on the beach and if its the correct season you can go whale watching too!
Only 1hr 30 mins away is the UNESCO World Heritage, Old, Dutch Colonial Fort in Galle. It's a beautiful place that has fantastic restaurants and a few excellent shops.
If you are feeling a little more adventurous, Udawalawe National Park is around 2hrs 30 mins away.

Yes i remember that one of the girls was having a difficult time during this period and the other girl just wasn't up to the job. Response from the owner Dear Janice B Talalla Bay Beach House is still going strong and the beach and area has changed alot! But its still gorgeous and we hope you can join us again! The House itself has also gone under many changes also and now has mosquito nets (for the rare occasion people get bite at night in their room) and doors on all the bathrooms! Come join us again!
