Description
Casa Dorotea is a spacious and elegant apartment situated in a tranquil area but only a few minutes from local amenities and public transport. Casa Dorotea is approximately 180 metres squared and can sleep up to 7 people in 3 bedrooms. It features a private garden, a private terrace, a private patio, air conditioning and winter heating and Wi-Fi Internet access. The cost of the electricity is included in the price.
Casa Dorotea is located on the first floor and is one of three apartments in the block. It is accessible from the garden via an external staircase with approximately 20 steps. There is air conditioning in all three bedrooms and also throughout the house – the lounge and dining area - which is new for 2024.
The lounge is paved with characteristic terracotta tiles. The modern furnishings are stylish and comfortable. There are two large sofas and a satellite television and air conditioning. An extra bed can be added in the lounge (on request and extra charges may apply). The room has two windows with a view of the garden and the terrace. The dining room is accessible from the lounge room and has a dining table, which can accommodate 6 guests, and air conditioning.
Leading off the dining room is the recently refurbished kitchen. It is well equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with a freezer, a dishwasher and an Italian-style coffee maker and air conditioning. The kitchen has a window with a view of the garden. Next to the kitchen, there is a small, partially covered terrace where there is a washing machine.
You can access the beautiful ensuite bedroom from the living room. The bedroom has a double bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a window with a view of the private patio below the villa and a private garden with homegrown vegetables. The bedroom is equipped with a TV and air conditioning/heating. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a flat-screen TV, a toilet and a bathtub with shower and a Jacuzzi. You can even watch the television whilst you enjoy a hydro-massage!
You can access the second bedroom from the corridor. It has twin beds (80 cm/32 inches) and a view of the garden. The bedroom is equipped with a flat-screen TV and air conditioning/heating. The bathroom has a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer. It is accessible from the corridor. There is a French window which gives access to the terrace, facing the garden.
The terrace is 40 metres squared and is accessible from the lounge through sliding French doors. It is equipped with a table, chairs, sun loungers and a BBQ. From the terrace, you will have a view of the garden below and of the other buildings in the surrounding area but you will have your own privacy. Here you can relax with a drink and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
There is a third bathroom with a wash basin and a toilet. At the end of the corridor, there is a third bedroom, which also has a view of the garden. This is a double room but the beds can be separate to make it a twin. The bedroom is equipped with a flat-screen TV and air conditioning/heating.
The private garden is 400 metres squared and is partly shaded by tall palm and lemon trees. It has a hammock and sun loungers where you can relax and enjoy the sunshine. Next to the garden is the private patio which is furnished with tables and chairs and covered to provide shade.
While staying at Casa Dorotea, you will be in the seventeenth-century historic centre of Meta di Sorrento. The closest restaurant and a grocery store are a few minutes' walk away. Casa Dorotea is approximately 5 minutes' walk from the train station where, in two stops, you will be in Sorrento. From this station, you can also easily visit Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. From Sorrento's train station, it is approximately 15 minutes' walk to Marina Piccola (port) where you can get the ferry to Capri. From Sorrento's train station you can also get buses to Positano and Amalfi Coast. The closest beach is roughly 800 metres (half a mile) from Casa Dorotea.
You will not need a car to stay at Casa Dorotea but if you do have one, you can park it free of charge (on request) a few minutes’ walk away.
