Description
The villa is a cosy place with all the comfort needed, settled in the mountain village of Moeciu de Sus.
The surrounding area includes the Bucegi Mountain range which offers the possibility of larger or shorter hikes; the city of Brasov (35 km away); the city of Bran (12 km away) - with the famous Dracula's Castle; Zarnesti (20 km away) - with the Libearty Bear Sanctuary and the Piatra Craiului National Park; Sinaia (50 km away), with its ancient monastery and the famous Peles Castle; Sighisoara (150 km away), the one unique European city which still preserves untouched its medieval aspect; and Bucharest (180 km away), the capital of Romania.
The house is organised as follows: on the ground floor there´s the entrance, a large living room with dining and lounge area and the kitchen. On the 1st floor there are 4 double rooms and on the 2nd floor there are 2 junior suites that can accommodate 2 – 4 people each.
One of the junior suites has a jaccuzzi bathtub. The second junior suite and the 4 rooms have private bathroom with shower, matrimonial beds, drawers, satellite TV.
We provide towels and sheets.
There is free wifi coverage in the whole house.
In the yard there’s the barbecue, a covered terrace, a swing.

“Rural Romanian get-away, perfect for family reunion”
We spent one week with a group of 11 in this house in July/August 2017. Our host Iona was very quick to respond and help from the very start of the booking process to our final check-out. Don't hesitate to ask her about the many interesting day trips in the region: Leasurly walks in the valley, short hikes in the surrounding hills and ambitions hiking tours in the Bucegi mountains are all very accessible from Moieciu de Sus. Be aware that driving out to the main road at Bran takes about 20 minutes along a beautiful, winding country lane. Day trips by car to Brasov, Sighisoara, Sinaia etc. are definitely doable, but involve a good deal of driving. The house itself is located towards the rear of the village with little traffic. At night, the sound of the small creek is the loudest sound around. The villa has 6 double rooms with their own baths and showers, making it perfect for several couples/families. The two top-floor mini-apartments are quite spacious. The big downstairs dining area and especially the big patio (with barbeque!) in the garden are nice for dining in a big group. The house is modern and stylish, even though some furnishings have a slightly "cheap" feel. The only thing we lacked in creature comfort was a dishwasher for cleaning dishes after a big Romanian fest. Would definitely recommend this place for groups of 8 - 12 people looking to spend some quality get-away time and exeprience rural Transylvania.
