Description

Set in a small complex just off the sea front, Casa Jandsy has wonderful sea views looking down the coastline on Mojacar playa from its elevated position. The properties consists of 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 large double bedroom with small balcony and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. There is a shared family bathroom between the two bedrooms. Downstairs is an open plan living/dining area with separate kitchen leading onto a private court yard. The open plan living area has patio doors leading onto the private terrace overlooking the communal gardens and pool area. Recently refurbished with holiday rentals in mind the property has wi-fi and air conditioning throughout.

“Superb stay Casa Jandsy”

I arrived late into the evening in Mojacar but Casa Jandsy was and the small complex it’s situated on were easy to find. Everything clean and welcoming and the house felt like ‘home’. Very conveniently located just 5 mins walk to beach and lovely restaurants and bars. Would I/will I return? ABSOLUTELY!! The owner was fantastic and answered all my questions in a relaxed, informal way. Great weather for October and gave me the peace and quiet just when I needed it. However, bars and restaurants nearby in abundance so this is an all-round perfect place for a stay - short or long.

“good but could be better”

first of all may we say that we enjoyed our 2 week stay at what is a nice villa set in a quiet location with great sea views and lovely gardens and pool area. However,there are a number of things worth mentioning that would have made our stay even better. 1) there is no safe!! unacceptable in this day and age not to have somewhere secure for passports,money,valuables etc. 2) no mosquito screens. I made the mistake of leaving the balcony doors open on our 1st night and got bitten..had to use the aircon for the rest of the holiday. 3) Sunbeds...there were 3 sunbeds and all 3 were tatty and broken.should have been scrapped and replaced ages ago. 4) Cleaning...we were there for 2wks and cleaning is not included in the letting agreement.That was fine by us but surely the provision of some basic cleaning products is not to much to ask so that we could clean the loo,kitchen and bathroom. 5) The BBQ was filthy when we arrived so didn't get used. 6)The auto switch off kettle no longer switches off..could be dangerous if forgotten. 7) Frying pans..4 supplied, all well past being non stick and 2 hadn't been cleaned from past use..we went out and purchased a new one which we have left there. 8) TV.the guy from the letting agents showed us how to operate the tv system which had a "box" to enable viewing of uk channels. It didn't work, so he said he would contact the owner and try to sort it. He didn't get back to us but did say that uk tv was not part of the let anyway. very helpful. So, as I said at the beginning we did enjoy our stay but feel that should the above points be addressed then it would help bring the property up to scratch.

The apartment is self catering so guests normally buy their own cleaning products and toiletries. We only include the mid week change of linen, which is what you had. We do apologize for the state of the clean, had you called us in the office and let us know we would have sent someone to sort it out straight away. Response from the owner Dear Peter, Thank you for taking the time to review the apartment. We are sorry that you feel let down during your stay at Casa Jandsy. We have as you mentioned fixed most of the things quickly, we constantly aim to keep on top of the maintenance issues. You refer to there being no toilet in either bathroom, I think you mean toilet paper. Toilet paper is always provided for each toilet as a matter of course so if it was not present on arrival then we apologise for this oversight. With regard to bedding and towels, we provide a complete set of each on arrival and the beds are made. The bedding is then changed after 7 days and this was the case during your stay. We are not aware of the bed sheets not fitting the beds and this has not been noted as an issue prior to your stay or subsequent guests. The toilet seat was reported the day before you left and unfortunately we were unable to fix this prior to your departure, we aim to address all non urgent issues within 24 hours under normal circumstances and note that we had 2 service call outs during your stay which were dealt with promptly.
