Description

La Bastide is a privately owned 600m2 Provencal villa located only 40 minutes from Nice airport. Renovated to the highest standard, it sits on its own col between the neighbouring medieval villages of Montauroux and Callian. Sleeping in air conditioned comfort for up to a maximum of 15 people, depending on composition of the party (maximum 5 children under 11) in the main house, with a 1-bed apartment also available for 2 more adults (rented separately). Beautifully furnished, with all possible modern conveniences, the main villa has 5 main bedrooms each with king sized beds and ensuite bathrooms (with rainforest showers, extra deep baths and double sinks). For families, 2 of the bedrooms have adjoining children’s bunk rooms (1 x 3 beds + 1 x 2 beds). 2 travel cots are available if children are too young for beds.

Located in 3ha of private , fenced garden, with heated saltwater pools (smaller one for kids), games room, trampoline, boules, croquet, 2 wine cellars, library, media library, 2 bbq’s and numerous dining venues, there is no real need to leave the villa. But you may want to make use of the sporting equipment available to play tennis or golf (within 10 minutes) or challenge yourself to a day of cycling or hiking in the beautiful Alpes Maritimes. Sailing, horseriding, cooking schools and many other activities are all on the doorstep. Days out to Nice, Aix en Provence, St Tropez and many other attractions are easy, but meandering through the local morning markets in the surrounding villages of Montauroux and Fayence; and the morning walk to the bakery are often the preferred activities. Local restaurants range from bistro to Michelin star, or you can bring in a chef to cook at home. La Bastide has hosted many special celebrations for families and friends, particularly during off peak seasons, when the mild climate is perfect for long weekends that avoid the tourist crowds and heat of summer.
