Description

A beautiful, private furnished and fully equipped, apartment with stunning features, terraces, pretty gardens, valley, hills and partial sea views, situated close to award winning beaches and centrally located for Moraira, Calpe & the charming traditional Spanish town of Benissa.

We offer a large, light, air conditioned apartment consisting of a spacious living area with dining table, flat screen TV, leather sofas (including recliner), board games for young and old, excellent Internet connectivity to stream from and a small library.

Bedrooms have air conditioning, the master with a king size bed and the second twin bedroom. A family bathroom with a washing machine & clothes airer, extra large walk in shower, new sink and toilet.

Kitchen with modern appliances; microwave, fridge freezer, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and new water filter.

Outside there is ample parking, breakfast table & chairs, large swimming pool with an adjacent shower, and a spacious, semi enclosed entertainment and dining area where you can enjoy cooking on our traditional charcoal BBQ.

The pool is reached passing beautiful gardens and terraces with benches and other seating areas for your pleasure and featuring colourful plants, flowers, cacti, palms, orange, lemon and fig trees.

Although this area is highly regarded for its varied cycling and walking routes, car hire is strongly recommended and will enable you to explore this beautiful area of the Costa Blanca, Sierra Bernia & Jalon Valley. In the summer months you can walk to the local beach bars at Cala Baladrar and Advocat.

An end of stay changeover clean is included in the price, however if the villa is found to be in poor condition after your departure and extra cleaning is required there will be an additional charge made)

Moraira

Moraira is a pretty fishing village, with strict building regulations in force, so there are no high rise buildings here. The fishermen still go out early in the morning to catch fresh fish to sell later that day at the traditional fish market. The people are renowned for their friendliness and with a coastline that stretches for 8km you will not be spoilt for a choice of bars or excellent restaurants. You can walk along the palm fringed seafront past the castle and numerous beaches, choose from rocks, pebbles or sand. The main sandy beach lAmpolla is situated at the foot of the castle and is patrolled by lifeguards, there are excellent facilities here including childrens play area, restaurants, bar and various watersports. El Portet beach also has fine sand and crystal clear water, and has been presented with the Blue Flag Award for cleanliness.

Moraira also has a very good market weekly with lots of bargains for avid shoppers as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.

Calpe

Calpe is a coastal town and resort situated approximately 45 minutes drive north of Alicante International Airport. Steeped in history and culture, the Old Town is especially interesting with museums, picturesque little streets and squares with many tapas bars and restaurants. Calpe is a friendly fishing village which sits close to the Rock of Ifach on a hill rising up from the last spurs of the sierra Bernia in the middle of Spain's Costa Blanca, a geographical marvel that provides access to the northernmost towns of Alicantes Marina district. It is an authentic tourist site, with a coastline boasting sandy beaches, cliff faces in some areas and an ancient salt mine, which all give the town a peculiar flavour of its own. Calpe is overlooked by the towering Penon de Ifach which juts out into the sea and rises to over 1000 feet.

“A great home from home”

It's very difficult to write a review of a property when you have stayed there for 3 months during some of the worst weather the area has had in memory, or so some said. However, it certainly showed the friendliness and helpfulness of Richard and Nikki. The weather gave us some issues that would never come up in the summer but Richard was always there on the doorstep (often dripping wet), to sort things out. Despite the weather, we had a great stay since the villa is equipped with satellite TV, w-fi and an assortment of games and books for those days indoors. The sitting room is huge and the sofas so comfortable. Much of our stay was sunny and we could see that it would be a fantastic place to stay in summer. The pool is a good size and the covered area beside it is ideal for shady eating, having its own fridge. The main outdoor terrace has a gas BBQ and lighting so would be great for evening meals oudoors. The position of the villa is conveniently between Moraira and Calpe and the nearest beach is easily walkable. It has a small restaurant/bar that is open all day, so there is no need to leave the beach for lunch. I hope that our next visit to Moraira will be rather warmer but, in the meantime, many thanks Richard and Nikki. We'll maybe see you at El Portet next Christmas.

“Charming & quiet Spanish villa by the coast”

This was a nice place to stay in a valley just back from the sea. A very traditional Spanish villa but with modern facilities like English TV & a dishwasher. I had an ensuite shower room too in my room. It was a bit tricky to find but I was given some clear instructions. The gardens and pool looked nice (palms, lemon & fig tress, etc.) but I didn't swim. It's very central to Moraira, Calpe & Benissa which I liked because I was travelling around a bit. I was by an English speaking person which helps and he showed me how everything worked. I was on my own but it sleeps six people quite comfortably (three bedrooms). Very pretty and charming. It looks well cared for,inside is newly decorated and a gardener came for a couple of hours (and a chap to clean the pool).
