Description
Chalet La Valentine is a traditional wooden Savoyard chalet. It is a spacious, well equipped chalet with pine panelled walls and a fireplace for cosy evenings after a day's fantastic skiing in the Grand Massif ski circuit. The chalet is on the sunny side of the valley, with easy access to the lifts. Cross country skiing is practically at the chalet door. The chalet is 100 metres from the ski bus stop, 1 km from the Morillon télécabine and 3km from both of the Samoëns télécabines, which all connect into the vast Grand Massif with 265km of pistes, the third largest ski area in France.
In the summer the chalet is in the centre of all the local activities. It is not in an ideal location for a quiet retreat as the local leisure park, swimming lake, mini-golf, zip wire, pony riding, tennis and volley ball courts are only 250 metres from the chalet gates, across the road and a quick walk along the river. Shops, restaurants, the post office and bakery are all within a 5 minute walk, Morillon village centre is only 10 minutes away.
There are golf courses at Annecy (one golf course on the lake and one in the hills above), Les Gets and Flaine, all just a short drive away. You can play on the championship golf course at Evian golf club on the shores of Lake Geneva.
There are lakes to hire boats on, chateaus to visit, places to walk, mountains to ride bikes up, rock walls to climb, caves to pothole and fast rivers to go white water rafting on.

The garden is enclosed with a lockable gate for secure parking and to keep children or pet dogs safe. There is enough land to play badminton or short tennis (equipment provided).
The eco air conditioning uses the cool air from a air source heat pump from the hot water system to cool the upstairs bedrooms and there is also a portable air conditioning unit for days when the temperatures outside reach more than 35 degrees centigrade. Normally the insulation in the walls and roof will keep the chalet cool if shutters and windows are kept closed and the awnings are put out to shade the front of the chalet. There is a large fan to help air circulation on these lovely hot summer days which can occur in the mountains.

“Comfortable Chalet perfect for 2 families loads to do in Summer”
We were 2 familes (4 & 5people) so the accommodation was perfect with it's upper and lower bedrooms. The Lake Bleu forest adventure was a big hit with our 5 kids even the 4yr old could have a go. The lake was a little cold (wetsuit advised) or if for a warmer lake we went to Lake Montriond near Morzine about 20mins away. Beautiful surrounding mountains and sunsets were everywhere. Samoens was a picture perfect French village with a market and some lovely boutique shops to mooch around. The Chalet was very well equiped from the kitchen herbs, tea, tin foil washing up liquid etc.. to the gardens games, we spent one day just playing in the garden with the children, football, paddling pool, badminton, tennis and play tent and tubes it was better than home. M.Robert who showed us around was brilliant. The chalet sat all of us comfortably in the lounge and around the large dinning table. We will return again I'm sure. Thanks Sally.

“Fantastic, well equipped property with magnificent views”
The property is very comfortable and very well equipped with everything you could need during your stay. It has a lovely fully enclosed garden, wonderful for barbeques and for children to play safely in. We stayed in the summer and there is so much to do. There is plenty of walking, chair lifts, cable cars, lovely lakes for swimming, zip wire parks, pony riding, bike riding and water sports. There are many beautiful places to visit by car. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance. The information booklet provided by the owner was full of useful information. We would definitely go there again.
