“Wonderful Stay in The Adirondacks” We couldn’t have been more comfortable in this lovely home. Everything you needed or wanted is at this home. Very clean and very well maintained w/every kitchen item imaginable. Felt like we were vacationing in our own home. Plus, plenty of info on the area, maps n brochures provided. “A place to do everything, or nothing” I must confess, that I did not expect much, hearing from a local friend who drove by the property. While previous vacations advertised themselves as located in Woodstock, this one truly is. Took us an hour and fourty minutes from manhattan, door to door. While it looked a little quirky at first sight, with an extension above the living room, once we entered we realized that it serves as a giant sky light, opening the space to the surrounding woods. The living area is spacious,filled with light, while the adjacent bedroom is cozy and rather romantic. Out of the woods and just down the road is the 'sunfrost' market and deli where we had our best juice ever at lunch time. After an afternoon stroll in Woodstock we spent the evening on the deck with a glass of Pinot. A red tailed hawk joined us for a while perched on a branch above a neat pile of cut wood, but soon lost interest and flew away. With the wine in-tow we plunged into the hot tub the way of adam and Eve. The next day I mostly lazed around, while wify practiced her graceful Tai-Chi on the deck. we had a great dinner at the 'red onion' which can not be put to shame by any New York establishment triple it's price. In short; secluded, romantic and a perfect weekend escape.

“Simply the best!” Before we even explored the beautiful house and the perfect location, we thought 'We are home'. This wonderful property is possibly the nicest, most pristine clean and convenient house we've had the pleasure to stay in. It is wonderfully furnished, comfortable and has everything you could want for a perfect vacation. This is not your standard 'rental'. This is a fantastic home and we had an incredible time. The area is perfect. We biked, we hiked, we shopped and we cooked in the wonderful kitchen and then we relaxed in the hot tub. The setting is idyllic. I have never slept so well in my life. There are not enough adjectives to fully describe how great our stay was. I can only say we will be back again and again and it was, in a word, inspiring. Thank you, Mirav, for thinking of absolutely everything and presenting it to us for our vacation.

“Perfect Getaway!” We were exhausted, every day stresses had truly got the better of us and we just needed a long weekend to find our equilibrium again and recharge. So pretty much on the spur of the moment we booked this place. Right from the minute we arrived, we were enchanted. Stylish yet supremely comfortable, the owner had clearly thought of everything! This made us feel completely at home while at the same time adding that certain cossetting and pampering factor. The condo is stunning and in a perfect location, the beautiful and relaxed environment sends you back to 'real' life relaxed and recharged. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will certainly be returning and next time with our adult children.

“Lovely Stay At Camp Hatteras” Our family of four from Connecticut thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at Camp Hatteras. It had all the comforts of home. It was neat, clean and well-stocked with everything we needed for our home-cooked meals and grilling. We ate out on the screened porch almost every night. The convenient location was perfect for our paddling adventures, trips to the Adirondack Museum, Whiteface Mountain, The Wild, and nearby hiking. It was a delight to relax either on the deck, curled up in the loft reading a good book, or while enjoying an evening campfire. Sheila was most accommodating, suggesting paddles and a hike, which suited us well. Glad we chose Camp Hatteras—highly recommended.

“Airy & beautiful home!” We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful East Hampton home. The floor plan is open and makes for an easy flow between the airy living space and kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms are large and well appointed with comfortable beds and fresh linens. The setting of the house is on a wooded acre with incredible views out over the trees and the swimming pool below. The huge deck affords an outdoor dining area perfect for summer entertaining. We will definitely be back for another visit to this amazing get away.

“Great location. Wonderful plce for a family gathering.” Our family of 11 stayed through the New Year's holiday. What a wonderful place. There was plenty of room and the house is so big that there were little nooks to get away from the crowd if someone wanted quiet reading time. The location is perfect, just 1/2 block from the Main Street in Lake Placid. We walked down to the bottom of the hill to go on a dogsled ride and cross country ski on the lake. The home is 5 minutes from the Olympic Center and 15 from Whiteface Mountain. There is so much to do in Lake Placid. We ran out of time before running out of things to do. Grocery stores were conveniently located and on one of the frigid evenings we picked up the most wonderful Italian meals from a take out place just down the street. This location had it all!

“Unique and beautiful...heavy on the character...” I'm a frequent visitor of the 'ette. I love the location (right off the main drag) but enjoy its solitude (wooded median...long drive way). Its sort of like a studio apartment in the woods. its close to many of the wineries, The Red Newt and Stone Cat restaurants and a gas/quick mart. When Wine tasting its easy to swing by and change clothes/use the facilities/take a nap (comfy beds) and unload your recent purchases. The owners are friendly and helpful. The grounds are spacious with a nice walking trail. For what you get for the price its really a great secret. So why share a secret? I'm not there long enough or frequent enough to keep it to myself...like a cool song, I shouldn't be singing it alone (especially if you've heard my voice).

“Delightful Cabin” We had a delightful time in the cabin. It served us well as a quiet base from which to enjoy the local sights as well as to go further into the Adirondacks. We fished the pond early every morning and caught enough bass to release most and still have a couple of meals. We had a couple of very nice fish and lost a couple of b-i-g ones. The highlight, though, was following a tip from a local to a secluded brook and catching an 18-20" brook trout. We went on a number of hikes with the dogs, flushed a couple of grouse, and picked most of a bucket of wild blueberries, which were quickly converted to bb pancakes, muffins, and cobbler. The weather was superb - what a perfect break from the Florida summer! We found the cabin roomy, comfortable, and well-equipped. We found the lack of TV and Internet to be a plus, and when we absolutely needed to communicate a 4-mile drive north up the hill to Elephant Head trail to get a cell phone signal was not a big inconvenience. As far as suggestions, the cabin could have been cleaner, but we understand that the owner has resolved that problem.

“Best house ever” The house is in a beautiful setting. So many things to do in the area from antique shopping, golf in the summer, winter skiing, hiking, really great restaurants. Once you've seen the house though, you won't want to leave. Great layout for families, group of friends, special occasions or just getting away to a special place. everything is provided for your stay. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, outdoor fire pit!!! Watch shooting stars at night. Jennifer has thought of everything. Even a playroom with toys and games! No preparation is needed on your part. Just show up for a fabulous stay.
