Description

WoodStay Lodge is self-catering accommodation (no meals provided) on a small equestrian estate on the outskirts of Newcastle KZN SOUTH AFRICA. It is a safe and tranquil small-holding with a farm atmosphere, plenty of birdlife, dogs and horses. The perfect place to unwind, chill and of course …braai . We welcome overnight travellers, professionals on business in Newcastle and those who would like to stay a while. Please note our currency is Rand (R600 pppn)

We have 4 units, namely :

• Uiltjie (Owl) - a cosy 1 bedroom en-suite, sleeps 2 guests and have a full kitchen, living area and a stoep with braai facilities. DSTV and an air-conditioner adds to your comfort. The bathroom has a shower above the bath.

• KitKat - is a 2 bedroom (4 sleeper) spacious family unit. A double bed and 2 single beds with 1 bathroom (shower and bath). A spacious lounge, fully equipped kitchen and large verandah (stoep) caters for outside dining/braaing. The perfect place to take a break, take a KitKat – you will find one on your bed, it’s a promise.

• Lonely Oak Cottage – is a 1 bedroom en-suite free standing, self-catering cottage. It accommodates 3 guests, as there is a single sleeper couch in the living area.

Nguni - is a newly completed open plan unit. (2 sleeper with 2 3/4 beds). It is beautifully decorated and have a fully equipped kitchen, with stove and fridge. DSTV. Bathroom has shower only.

Three units are equipped with DSTV and air-conditioners, full kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, oven and 4 plate stove. Each unit has a stoep (verandah) and braai (barbeque) facilities are available.

Newcastle Mall and Black Rock Casino is 1,5km from the lodge, with most of the popular restaurants, shopping and other entertainment. Newcastle is the ideal midway stop-over between Johannesburg/Pretoria and Durban. There are 3 golf courses in Newcastle. Many historical sites such as Majuba, Rorkes Drift, Battle of Blood River Memorial, Talana Museum etc are in a radius of 100km. The magical Drakensberg is a mere 150kms away. Bird watchers enjoy travelling to Wakkerstoom for this purpose (100km). Nambiti Big 5 Private Game Reserve is 90km from Newcastle on way to Durban.

How do damage deposits work?
