ROURKE'S COTTAGE Is one of 5 luxury cottages nestled against the magnificent back drop of the Mourne Mountains in a rural picturesque setting close to the bustling seaside town of Newcastle. A prime location not just for hill walkers/hikers but golf enthusiasts too, with the Royal County Down Championship Links Golf Course just 10 minutes away. Rourke's is a spacious 2 storey 3 bedroom house sleeping 6. Ground floor 1 twin bedroom with en-suite, first floor, 1 double room, 1 twin room and a luxury bathroom including free standing bath and soft fluffy towels.

The well designed interior is finished to a very high standard to include a spacious fully fitted kitchen, utility room/drying area, cloakroom with wc, comfy leather sofas, cosy wood burning stove and under floor heating.

From the patio doors step out onto the decking which leads to a secluded picnic and BBQ area. An ideal setting to enjoy spectacular views over the surrounding countryside, unwind with glass in hand, recharge your batteries and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

Located only 1 hour from Belfast and 2 hours from Dublin the area is an ideal location for hill walkers/hikers, golfers and families who can enjoy the many forest parks, horse riding, mountain biking, cycling and beaches. Situated on the Mourne Rambler bus route which circles the Mourne Mountains in the summer months, this is a great base to explore and discover the many varied walks and hikes the Mournes have to offer, a walkers paradise with access to the mountains from your door step.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
