Description

Tourism NI approved accommodation, The Jays is a modern townhouse in a courtyard setting in the picturesque village of Bryansford. Situated opposite Tollymore Forest Park ( Game of Thrones film locations) , close to mountains, lakes, beaches and the seaside town of Newcastle, yet only 45 minutes drive from Belfast.

Our house is well-equipped and furnished to accommodate families wishing to enjoy the outdoors of the Mourne Mountains, but with all the amenities of a seaside town nearby.

Bed linen and towels are provided (except beach towels) and central heating and electric are included in the cost.

Please note the house has a double bedroom with ensuite downstairs, and a single room and bunk room upstairs beside the main bathroom.

“Spotlessly clean, great attention to detail and comfort - very cosy and relaxing”

From our first night at the Jay's we felt at home - and best of all we felt very safe (covid-19 rules were still in place at the time of our stay). Judy give very clear instructions on access as well as friendly and helpful advice before our stay. Although the place was immaculate, it had been decorated and furnished in a way that made it feel cosy and welcoming. Everything spoke of quality and thoughtfulness. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds extremely comfortable. We found the big map of the Mournes in the hall very useful - as well as the guide books. We live in Belfast - so only 30 minutes away, but being able to walk out the front door of the Jays's and into the Mournes (via Tollymore) made it worth every penny. A very enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

“Lovely holiday home in view of the Mourne mountains”

The Jays was spotlessly clean, well equipped throughout and has a nice view of the Mourne mountains from the first floor living room. Extra measures had been taken to ensure we felt comfortable staying away from home in the current Covid circumstances - those were greatly appreciated. Sorry not to be able to meet you in person Judy, but you were attentive by text and made sure we had all we needed to enjoy our stay. We hope to make a return visit soon!

“Wonderful holiday accomodation”

Superb holiday home in a beautiful location. Judy was so helpful and friendly and welcomed us on our arrival. Lovely fruit loaf waiting to enjoy with a cup of tea. House was so cosy, well equipped and clean. Ideally situated to enjoy all the local tourist attractions and activities The Mournes have to offer. We loved every moment of our stay and are eager to return at a future date.

How do damage deposits work?
