Description
Villa Yalenia is a luxury villa on the island of Lefkada. Built on a waterfront plot full of beautiful trees and lush vegetation; the location is magnificent with spectacular scenery and natural beauty the villa is the most exclusive property on the island. The owners, a local family of Civil Engineers and Home Designers, with their flare for style and design have renovated the family house to the utmost standards keeping comfort and traditional Greek island design in mind. Villa Yalenia is built on a private plot of land right on the water's edge and is neatly hidden by mature trees and glorious wildflowers ensuring that guests have privacy whilst enjoying the superb views across the water whether from the easy armchairs on the terrace or one of the sunbeds on the decking of the swimming pool. Villa Yalenia is ideal for a family or couples. The villa has its own private jetty and for this reason we have included a motorboat in the price of the holiday for your ease of getting around, going shopping and visiting secluded beaches. Should you prefer to bring your own yacht or hire one during your holiday you can easily drop anchor in the bay and row the short distance to the jetty. Upon your arrival we will be waiting to welcome you to our house. We provide a generous welcome hamper so you will not need to worry about going out to the shops and you can just relax immediately. Our Welcome Hamper includes fresh fruit, fresh salad items, locally baked bread, cheese, ham, jams, cakes and biscuits, orange juice, soft drinks, wine and water.
Villa Yalenia is designed as a spacious holiday home giving guests a bright, airy and fresh feeling. On the ground floor there is a large dining table and the huge comfy sofas set around the fireplace and looking out through large French windows to the garden and sea view. The modern kitchen is just off the dining area and is fully equipped with everything a comfortable home needs. The junior suite with bathroom and WC is also on the ground floor and has access to the terrace and gardens. In the centre of the house is a beautiful wooden staircase leading to the upper floor. There are two large beautiful bedrooms with double beds and en suite bathrooms plus the master bedroom on the upper floor. All mattresses in the bedrooms are made by COCO-MAT a company that is committed to manufacturing the best beds in the world in the most sustainable way possible. COCO-MAT beds consist of multiple layers of natural materials, providing optimal, elastic support to the human body, without the use of metal springs. The master bedroom is 43sq.m. and has a king size bed, comfy sofas, walk in closet, a large en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi and WC and a gorgeous wooded balcony overlooking the gardens out to the sea.
Villa Yallenia was originally built by the grandfather of a family who are now Civil Engineers and Home Designers. Villa Yalenia was renovated with the utmost of comfort and quality in mind and decorated with great care, pride and love for the owners' beloved and always remembered grandfather. All interior wooden surfaces are handmade of solid oak. The floors downstairs are made of aged marble from Crete. The wooden paneled ceiling is in keeping with the traditional Lefkadian ceilings of the island which is a trademark of the local architectural style. The wooden staircase is the masterpiece of the house as it is designed in such a way that although it stands at the centre of the ground floor it does not isolate this from the upper level but allows for a feeling of a single open space. All bathrooms are designed in exclusively Italian style and the floors and walls are lined with Italian tiles or marble. The showers are walk-in style protected with safety glass. In the kitchen the cabinets are made of oak and the worktop is solid granite. On the upper floor, the wooden terrace and pergola are made of cherry wood and shaded with a wicker mesh. The house is partially lined with stone and painted using natural pastel colors which is characteristic of the houses in the old town of Lefkada. The terraces are stone paved and the small kiosk in the garden has natural stone seating.
The swimming pool is 50sq.m. and 1.60m deep and is set 3m from the water's edge in the garden between the house and the sea. The swimming pool area is equipped with sun umbrellas, sun loungers and an outdoor shower. The location of the swimming pool allows for those lazy afternoons lying in the sun, enjoying a refreshing drink and taking in the gorgeous view across the sea to Tranquil Bay to Nidri.
There is a private car park for villa Yalenia, which can hold up to six cars, opposite the gate to the house.

Villa Yalenia features a private swimming pool and several terraces for outdoor dining and seating, a stone made kiosk, and a stone made deck at the coastal zone available for the hitch of a boat.
The swimming pool is 50 m2 and 1.60m deep. The swimming area is equipped with sun umbrellas, sun loungers and an external shower. It is partly shaded by olive trees. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a wonderful view to the sea and the opposite side of the gulf where Nydri is located. Most of the time will surely be spent outdoors taking advantage of the beautiful garden with a rich variety of flowers and trees, sun bathing, reading your book, enjoying your coffee and relaxing

It is a great place to stay. Beautiful garden, comfortable house and very friendly family and manager. The surrounding is good for walking, hiking, cycling, swimming and boating. But staying in the garden at the poolside the whole day is the best alternative!
