Our piece of paradise looks onto the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, where a coral reef protects this part of the island, and coral heads are scattered for several miles in both directions. Swim in the warm shallow waters and make friends with the local denizens, parrot fish, French grunt, squirrel fish, blue tang and maybe a school of squid!
Do some shelling on the beach and find half buried conch shells, ghost crabs and more.
The Decor is by renowned artist April Cornell who called this home her Vacation Home for over 25 years. The bright Caribbean Colors and "Cave Wall Artwork" used throughout the House provide an artistic character that is warm, lively and relaxing.
Three bedrooms and two baths each have their own charm. The master bedroom faces the sea, where warm island breezes can drift you to sleep.
A pretty courtyard with flowering hibiscus, bougainvillea and native shrubs is a place for a quiet sit, or a place to watch the tiny turquoise iguana climb the walls, and the bannaquits flutter in for a visit.
Nearby is beautiful Rum Point, a short drive or a nice bike ride away. Pack a bathing suit and go for lunch, a snorkel a gentle swim or arrange for a visit to Stingray City.
If you are a diver Ocean Frontiers in the East End offers an excellent staff and diving twice a day. Pop upstairs for a sundowner and delicious appetizers and watch the sun go down.
Kurt´s Corner and Over the Edge just a short drive away offer some of the freshest and most inexpensive seafood on the island. Have the fish of the day, the Caesar salad side and fresh made fritters.
